Elizabeth Olsen Puts That Michelle Tanner Rumor to Rest

When Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen declined to return as Michelle Tanner for Netflix’s Fuller House reboot, fans hoped that their sister Elizabeth Olsen would fill the role. But the younger Olsen is going on the record to say she is not making an appearance on the show any time soon. In fact, she wasn’t even offered the part.

Olsen has nothing against the new Netflix series: she watched the first episode and said it was “great.” But when asked how she feels about the beloved sitcom making a comeback, she simply laughed and refused to make further comments about it. Cleary she’s not all that interested in talking about her older sisters’ work. After all, she was only an infant when they were filming the original Full House.

When the interviewer brought up the rumor that she would be taking on the role of Michelle, Olsen looked genuinely confused, shifting her glances from side to side. She set the record straight and said she didn’t get offered the part. “If I did, I’m pretty sure no one on my team heard it… I don’t know where that [rumor] started.”

It would be interesting to see Michelle all grown up, but it’s safe to say none of the Olsens will be showing up on Fuller House.
