This ‘THTH’ Season 6 Couple’s Rule Breaks Cost The Group $18K In *One* Day

Updated Published

It wouldn’t be a season of Too Hot to Handle if there weren’t couples in the villa draining the prize fund. Season 6 has proven to be no different. Every season, there’s always a couple (or two, or three) who can’t keep their hands to themselves and end up breaking the rules. This leads Lana (the cone-shaped virtual host) to take money away from the jackpot — and FYI, the rule breaks aren’t cheap. Spoiler Warning: Spoilers for Too Hot To Handle Season 6 follow.

THTH Season 6 kicked off on July 19, and one couple started sucking the prize money dry right away with their rule-breaking antics. Who is this naughty couple you might ask? Katherine LaPrell (who has every man drooling) and Louis Russell, who was originally a hot commodity in Season 5, showed no self-control on the villa and were costing the group.

Ironically enough, Louis first appeared on Season 6 swearing he was going to be a “good example” for everyone in the villa. Louis “Good Example” Russell didn’t exactly practice what he preached, especially after he and Katherine continuously broke Lana’s sacred rules and drained money from the prize fund. Obviously, their cast mates (who are the good influences at this point) were not pleased.

Katherine and Louis already tempted fate (and each other) early on in the Season by kissing each other several times and draining thousands from the prize money. One make out sesh alone between them resulted in *three* breaches of Lana’s rules (costing the whole group $18k, just in case you were curious).

But Katherine and Louis weren’t the only horny ones in the villa this season.

Because contestants are bound to break the rules, and this season had some messy moments, I’ve taken on the role of banker and tallied up all the cash lost because $125,000 is *a lot* of money.

1. Katherine & Louis: Kiss, $6,000

The first people to break the rules! And let me tell you, this was surely not the first time they couldn’t keep their hands off each other

2. Bri & Charlie: Bad Lana, $15,000

Just because Bri & Charlie were in banishment, didn’t mean they couldn’t spend a little money… or maybe a lot. Thanks, Bad Lana.

3. Joao & Flavia: Kiss, $6,000

TBH, I wasn’t too mad about this rule break. I like them together.

4. Charlie & Lucy: Kiss, $6,000

After going through a little bit of a rough patch, Charlie and Lucy made up, so naturally, they had to make out.

5. Katherine & Louis: Kiss (3x) $18,000

Katherine and Louis did lots of kissing, but also had to take some breaks for air… which cost them lots of money. FYI, a kissing break counts as the end of the kiss.

6. Demari & Valentina: Kiss, $6,000

Bri wasn’t happy about this one!

7. Joao & Flavia: Kiss (2x) $12,000, heavy petting ($4,000). A total of $16,000

If I knew there was $250,000 on the line, I would not have done any of this!

8. Katherine & Louis:  Kiss (4x) $20,000 & manual gratification $10,000, for a total of $40,000

They were getting way too out of hand.

9. Katherine & Charlie: Kiss, $6,000

Katherine! Didn’t it not bother you that you’d cost the group so much money?!

10. Sabrina & Chris: Kiss, $6,000

Sabrina, you just arrived at the retreat with so little time left and you couldn’t wait?!

All of these rule breaks have cost the group a total of $125,000, meaning they drained half of the prize fund. Yikes! So, who took home the grand prize in the end?

Lana rewarded $25,000 to Gianna, who followed the rules of the retreat the best. You go girl!

The remaining $100,000 went to Demari and Bri, who won the house vote of 7-1 for the strongest couple.

Let’s hope that these couples last and that the next group of singles who come on Season 7 THTH are fully aware of the rules.
