A lot went down in episodes seven and eight of Girls these past two weeks. In episode seven, Jessa puts faith into her and her father’s damaged relationship. She decides to take Hannah on a trip to visit her father, but he is late to get them at the train station, proving to Jessa that he hasn’t grown out of his old habits. Jessa’s dad drops Hannah and Jessa off at a nearby grocery store, only to drive away in the dust, leaving them behind. Jessa soaks in the aftermath of her father leaving her once again, and proceeds to leave Hannah with a note that says she will see her around. In response, Hannah calls her parents from the train station to tell them that she is thankful for them, but they don’t buy in to what she’s saying.

Episode eight opens with Hannah’s OCD tendencies, as she lines up eight potato chips on her kitchen table and proceeds to eat them. While taking a walk in the park, Marni finds out that her ex-boyfriend Charlie created an app and started his own business. After finding out the news, Marni shows up at Charlie’s office to see him and check out his business. Charlie’s success scares Marni because she felt like she had worked harder than he had to be successful. When Shoshanna runs into an old friend at the park, she realizes she hasn’t been herself the whole summer. Her friend asks her where she’s been all summer, and then invites her to a party she is throwing. Ray refuses to go to the part with Shoshanna and they get in a fight about how she hasn’t been herself lately. In the mean time, Adam attends an AA meeting and meets a woman who wants to set him up with her daughter.

Shoshanna arrives at her friend’s party and decides to leave after talking to the hostess. As she’s walking out, the doorman hits on her and she cheats on Ray with him. While Shoshanna is cheating on Ray, Marni is venting to Ray and she tells him her lifelong dream to sing.

The episode ends with Hannah’s parents taking her to visit a therapist about her OCD issues. The past two weeks were packed with awesome storylines and unforgettable action, so I can’t wait to see what Girls has in store for the future!
