Halsey isn’t one to shy away from saying exactly what’s on her mind. Throughout her career, she’s always been honest with her fans about what she’s going through, from suffering from endometriosis to the miscarriage she had while performing on stage.
At a concert in Atlantic City on Saturday, she spoke openly about her recent breakup with rapper G-Eazy before performing her song “Sorry.”  “I learned recently it’s OK to be alone! Being alone is enough,” she said. TRUTH!
She didn’t start the song before disclosing some juicier post-breakup realness. “The second lesson I learned is don’t sleep with your ex.” Hey girl, we’ve all been there.
Later, while performing at Borgata’s Premier Nightclub, as an intro to “Bad At Love,” she told all the single people in the audience to go home with somebody, even though she wouldn’t be.
Halsey and G-Eazy dated for nine months, and she confirmed their breakup via an Instagram story on July 3. She was seen crying in concert on July 6 following the split. Rumors have since circulated that the breakup was caused by G-Eazy cheating on Halsey while both of them were on tour, but a source tells Us Weekly that their split was caused by conflicting schedules and the complications of long-distance.
No matter what caused the breakup, this is a difficult time for Halsey, so of course it’s visible while she’s performing. She’s a badass, though, and I know she will recover swiftly from the breakup like a phoenix rising from the ashes.
