Harry Jowsey Joined The Unwell Network & The Internet Has… Thoughts

Y’all, this is not a drill: Harry Jowsey just joined Alex Cooper’s Unwell Network and the internet is divided. Jowsey, known for being on Netflix’s Too Hot To Handle and most recently, Season 32 of Dancing With The Stars is somebody the internet has always had mixed feelings about.

The Unwell Network, founded by Alex Cooper, is currently home to Call Her Daddy, Alix Earle’s Hot Mess, Madeline Argy’s Pretty Lonesome, and now, Harry Jowsey’s Boyfriend Material. The new podcast’s episodes start coming out on Feb. 27, and people already have lots of questions.

If you’re unfamiliar with Jowsey and why he’s such a hot topic, allow me to fill you in. After appearing on Season 1 of Too Hot To Handle (THTH) Jowsey became a fan-favorite. He ended up dating on-again, off-again girlfriend Francesca Fargo, who was also on the season. Eventually, the two officially called it quits, and Jowsey has since dated a few influencers and celebrities, like Stassie Karanikolaou, Charly Jordan, and THTH’s Georgia Hassarati, whom he was with for a year.

Jowsey, made his Call Her Daddy debut in June 2020 in an episode titled “Boyfriend D*ck.” During the episode, Jowsey and Cooper talked about sex and dating. Jowsey returned to the podcast in July 2023 for an episode titled “Harry Jowsey: From F***boy to Marriage Material,” and this is where things got messy.

During the episode, Jowsey talked about his relationship with Hassarati, saying that she “kinda” cheated on him. He went on to say, “‘I think when they start to take a fancy for other guys while you’re in a relationship, that tends to like… that will really set you over that line. You have a boyfriend — you shouldn’t be, like, bouncing on that guy.’” Yikes!

Jowsey also described himself as an “angel” in the relationship, treating his girlfriend with luxury gifts and taking care of her. Hassarati was not having this, and shared her thoughts in a series of TikTok videos, essentially saying that Jowsey had previously accused her of being unfaithful during a work trip to Coachella.

She explained how Jowsey asked her for “constant updates” as well as to share her location. She mentioned another instance where Jowsey had hurt her feelings by writing in a manifestation journal that he wanted to date a Kardashian seven months into their relationship.

So, it’s pretty obvious to see why people aren’t too happy that Jowsey is receiving his own podcast on a big platform. People were quick to share their thoughts in the comments of the announcement posted on Unwell’s Instagram page.

One user commented, “Want to love this but remember how they did Georgia dirty and the Daddy Gang isn’t about tearing down women.” Another person wrote something similar, “Thought that unwell was about uplifting women. Not uplifting crass men who cheat on their gfs? And exclusively white people? I expected more ngl.” Things aren’t looking like they are off to a great start here.

On the Instagram page for the Boyfriend Material podcast, the caption for the announcement post reads, “I was a walking red flag but now I’m boyfriend material.” Looks like Jowsey is going to be doing lots of self-reflection on the pod.

If you’re also interested in seeing how this podcast turns out and what it’s like, you can submit questions for Jowsey to potentially answer on the podcast. If you listen to the podcast and he reads a question that has something to do with Dancing With The Stars drama, it’s not from me. Just sayin’.
