Harry Styles’ Rumored Girlfriend Is Taking a Break From Social Media After Facing Backlash

Some people are all about the fame, but that’s definitely not the case for Harry Styles’ rumored girlfriend Tess Ward. The 27-year-old food blogger has received a ton of backlash on the Interwebs recently, ranging from hateful comments and messages on Instagram to poor Amazon ratings and reviews of her cookbook The Naked Diet, presumably due to her alleged relationship with Styles. Two things are certain: 1) Ward is taking a break from social media as a result and 2) the Internet trolls really need to take a chill pill.

In a recent interview with The Times, Ward explains that she’s already deleted her Snapchat, doesn’t do Twitter and is even taking a step back from Instagram, which is a huge platform for a successful food blogger.

“At the moment I’m getting a lot of direct messages [on Instagram], but I respectfully choose not to reply to them, because they’re all, like, er… interesting,” says Ward in the interview. “I want a break. I just want a break.”

Apparently, the drama peaked when fans realized Harry and Tess had worn the same Gucci shirt. The blogger has since disabled comments on her Instagram photos and respectfully responded to the haters with a simple caption on a delicious-looking photo of avocado, eggs and toast. “Brunch for dinner is never a bad idea on the weekend! Also for everyone following and messaging me, I am thankful but please be kind with your words. All I want is to share beautiful food with you all,” Ward captioned the Instagram photo.

“It’s been so weird, the hate messages… very bizarre,” Ward continues in her interview. “I’m not the kind of person who’s interested in fame and if you’re put in an environment which you don’t understand and you can’t control and you don’t want, it’s horrible. Reporters have turned up at my mum’s house several times, at my old house. I just want to do what I love and that’s cook, it really is.” Say it louder for the people in the back!

When asked about Styles, Ward told The Times, “I literally don’t have anything to say about that.” It’s clear that Ward just wants to focus on her passion for food and is taking the high road when it comes to social media trolls.

Can’t a girl just cook?
