Christmas is only a couple weeks away, which means James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke took on a holiday twist Monday night. In a rendition of “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town,” James drove around with various celebs, including Miley Cyrus, Fifth Harmony and none other than Harry Styles. During the former 1D member’s part, he shared a little kiss with James, causing some mixed reactions from viewers.
In the video, Corden turns to Harry and says, “Happy Christmas, Harold.” The two share a dramatic gaze before Harry leans in to kiss James, grabbing his cheek with one hand and his other arm draped around his neck. When they pull away, Corden says, “Wow, I did not expect that for Christmas.” Whoa, baby. The kiss caused some mixed reactions, where fans took to Twitter to express their feelings.
Some saw the kiss as a fun and innocent moment between friends, with maybe a hint of jealousy because they didn’t get to kiss Harry.
I’ve spent months being bitter that Harry Styles and James Corden didn’t kiss during their Carpool Karaoke and it turns out they were SAVING IT FOR A CHRISTMAS GIFT. A TRUE YULETIDE MIRACLE. #latelateshow

Other viewers, who felt the kiss mocked and made light of same-sex relationships, were not so pleased with the kiss.
Are ppl seriously talking about James Corden and Harry Styles kissing? Faux gay kissing stopped being newsworthy long ago, folks

The best way to decide how to feel is to watch it yourself. What do you think, fun and innocent or offensive?
