Sutherland Springs Church Congregation Holds First Service Since Shooting
A week after a gunman killed 25 people and an unborn baby in Texas’s deadliest mass shooting yet, the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs held a Sunday service, CNN reports. Although there are plans to demolish the actual church building, more than 500 people gathered several blocks away from the site of the shooting to attend a service on a baseball field. Agents from the Texas Department of Public Safety, as well as sheriff’s deputies, guarded the area. Other nearby churches organized the event, while Texas Sen. John Cornyn was expected to address the attendees.

No NFL Players Take a Knee on Veterans Day
Amidst the NFL celebrating Veterans Day weekend, none of the professional football players protested during the national anthem at Sunday’s early games. The Chicago Tribune reports that the NFL Players Association requested that all players observe a two-minute moment of silence before their games to honor the country’s veterans. Players known to consistently kneel in protest of police brutality against African-Americans remained standing.

Starbucks Debuts New Version of a Holiday Drink
You know it’s time for the holidays when Starbucks has brought back its holiday drink menu. In an attempt to switch things up, the coffee chain has also announced a new addition to its holiday lineup. The Toasted White Chocolate Mocha is basically the classic White Chocolate Mocha, but with a toasted white chocolate mocha sauce that reportedly has more of a deeper, nuttier flavor. The drink also comes with a red candied-cranberry topping, just to remind you that the hectic holidays are approaching.Â
