Actress Karla Souza surprised fans on Thursday, when she revealed on Instagram that she had given birth to her first child, a beautiful baby girl named Gianna.
“So I have something to share with you guys,” the How to Get Away With Murder star wrote, alongside a picture of her sitting cross-legged, showing off her baby bump in a blue tracksuit. The news was a shock for many, who had no idea the actress was pregnant with her first child with husband of four years, Marshall Trenkmann.
Another post featured a photo of her holding her beautiful baby girl. “God blessed us,” Souza captioned the image.
She also posted a series of photos on her Instagram Stories, showing her pregnancy journey from a sonogram of Gianna to her growing baby bump. “The last nine months have been nothing short of a miracle,” Souza wrote. “We welcome our healthy baby girl Gianna, and we couldn’t feel more blessed in this moment,” she wrote on her Instagram story.
Interestingly enough, Laurel Castillo, Souza’s character, was also pregnant and gave birth to son Christopher in a traumatic elevator delivery in the season four finale of How to Get Away With Murder. Maybe it was a way for her to practice for when she actually gave birth?
Big congrats to Karla and Marshall on their beautiful baby!
