The 75th annual Primetime Emmy Awards are quickly approaching! On Sunday, Sept. 18, television’s biggest stars will walk the red carpet, and fans of this year’s most popular TV shows are excited. But if watching award shows isn’t really your thing, you might want to make it your new obsession — there’s a company that’s ready to pay you a couple grand just to tune in.

Ever since the 2023 Emmy nominations were released, hype for the Emmy awards has been building — especially for fans of the top nominees like The Last Of Us and The White Lotus. However, viewership for the award ceremony has been in decline in recent years. In 2022, ratings were at an all-time low, dropping 24% from the previous year. Luckily, InfinityDISH has a strategy to combat this decline this year.

DISH has announced a competition where you can apply to literally get paid to watch the three-hour 2023 Emmy Awards ceremony. Yep, you read that right. One winner will be selected to receive $2,023 just for watching the complete ceremony when it airs live on Sept. 18. According to DISH, that’s $674.33 an hour (over $11 a minute!).

But it gets better — the winner will also receive a $50 GrubHub gift card, six boxes of microwave popcorn, their own red carpet to set up for the watch party, and an Emmy statue replica.

How to Apply For InfinityDISH’s Watch The Emmys Contest

DISH is looking for “a dedicated TV buff who loves to dive into the latest shows.” As part of your application, you will need to write why you think you’re the perfect person to get paid to watch the Emmys in 100 words or less.
You also need to be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States to apply. The application is available here.

What You’ll Do For InfinityDish’s Watch The Emmys Contest

If selected as the winner, all you have to do is watch all three hours of the 75th Annual Emmy Awards ceremony on Sept. 18! (Heads up, though: The date of the show may be subject to change due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.) The winner will be contacted by DISH on Sept. 4, 2023, and will need to respond within 24 hours to claim their prize. Other than that, just roll out your red carpet, pop some popcorn, and enjoy the show!

If you’re an avid TV fan, then run — don’t walk — to fill out this  application, and win over $2K for doing what you love.
