Jennie Teased Her Met Gala Look At A Blackpink Concert

Blackpink’s Jennie Kim stepped out for her 2023 Met Gala debut in the most gorgeous white ensemble for this year’s theme: Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. Donning a custom Chanel white strapless dress with a statement black bow in the front paired with long silky black gloves, the artist also sported a black choker and a white flower hair accessory. This amazing fit was inspired by a Lagerfeld runway item sported in the ’90s and recreated for tonight.

Blackpink fans took to Twitter to make the connection that this Met Gala look is strikingly similar to Jennie’s Born Pink Tour outfit from Paris. Inspired by the ’90s runway look, the tour outfit had a more breathable look perfect for movement including a light lacey skirt overlay. Instead of black tights, Kim wore comfy white legwarmers, but obviously kept the super cute long black gloves.

In a red-carpet interview with Emma Chamberlain, Kim said, “I’m so lucky to have a Chanel team recreate this look from the ’90s-the one that Karl did, so I’m just like so happy!”

Not sure about you, but I can’t wait to see what Kim will wear for future Met Galas, because this look is perfection!
