Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner tied the knot in a surprise wedding ceremony Wednesday night in Las Vegas — but they’ll soon walk down the aisle again.
After the Jonas Brothers performed the new hit single “Sucker” and Turner presented at the Billboard Music Awards, Jonas and Turner, along with their friends, headed to the Chapel L’Amour inside Las Vegas’ A Little White Wedding Chapel to say “I do.”
The couple’s wedding ceremony, which was livestreamed on Diplo’s Instagram account, was attended by Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra, Kevin Jonas and Danielle Jonas, along with some famous pals, including Diplo and Khalid. Nick and Kevin served as Jonas’ groomsmen and an Elvis impersonator officiated the ceremony.

According to E! News, country duo Dan + Shay serenaded the couple with a performance of their song Speechless as Turner walked down the aisle.

The Elvis impersonator told the couple to hold hands and look into each other’s eyes as they recited their vows together: “I promise you, I will never leave you. I will love and trust you, all the days of my life. In sickness and in health … forever and ever.”
“We can confirm Sophie and Joe were married in Las Vegas last night,” a representative for Turner told PEOPLE on Thursday.

Jonas and Turner returned to Los Angeles in a private jet following the ceremony and spent a “honeymoon night” at the San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood, a source told PEOPLE.
But the couple will be saying “I do” again in a bigger ceremony in France.
The two tied the knot in Las Vegas since they had to get married in the United States first to make the marriage legal.
“They knew they needed to have a legal ceremony in the U.S. and decided a few weeks ago to do it in Vegas after the Billboard Awards,” a source told E! News. “Some of their friends and family would be there so it felt like the perfect timing.”
“They booked the chapel for a big block of the night to make sure they had it to themselves and that the timing could be spontaneous,” the insider added. “A friend paid and set up the entire thing.”
Saying that the couple was “just so excited to be together and to be married,” the insider revealed, “Their real wedding will be in France this summer, but they thought this would be a fun way to make it legal. They wanted to have it planned out in advance to give friends a chance to come. It was a fun night in Vegas and it worked out perfectly.”
The former DNCE frontman, 29, previously confirmed that he and Turner, 23, are planning a wedding in France.
In an interview on the Zach Sang Show in April, Jonas revealed where the couple would get married.
“I mean, we are getting married in France, so a lot of Coors Light is necessary,” Jonas said. “Not hard, really, to get that, but we needed to make sure that was going to happen.”
While an official wedding date hasn’t been revealed, Jonas did say on The Late Late Show in March that the two plan to have a summer ceremony.
In an interview for May 2019 cover of Harper’s Bazaar UK, Turner divulged that the couple plan to make their wedding more intimate. “We’re trying to keep [the wedding] as low-key as possible so it’s more of an intimate thing,” Turner said.
The GoT star will have her costar and real-life best friend Maisie Williams serve as her maid of honor.
The couple first started dating in November 2016 after Jonas messaged Turner via Instagram after mutual friends suggested that the two should meet up. By December 2016, Jonas and Turner were “dating exclusively,” a source told PEOPLE, and Jonas was “willing to settle down for her.”
After nearly a year of dating, Jonas proposed to Turner in October 2017.
Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. Jonas!
