It’s the middle of winter, everyone around us has snot icicles dripping from their nostrils, and we’re just struggling to stay healthy. While we’d love to take a sick day, our schedule—and wallets—can’t afford one. Thankfully, Starbucks just unrevealed some new teas that might be able (Or they can at least make help your cold feel more tolerable.)
Starbucks’ latest concoctions feature a series of Teavana Wellness Teas. Starbucks tells Her Campus that these new drinks include the Teavana Defense Wellness Tea, Teavana Comfort Wellness Tea and Teavana Rev Up Wellness Tea.
The Teavana Defense Wellness Tea is packed with citrus flavors and Vitamin C, which is essential for your immune system. Plus, it even helps keep your skin healthy because it aids in collagen production.
Whereas the Teavana Comfort Wellness Tea is filled with ginger and a ton of mint (spearmint and peppermint to be specific). And we all know that ginger is essentially a fearless vigilante when it comes to nausea.
Or the Teavana Citrus Defender, which was inspired by the Honey Citrus Mint Tea, and is a hybrid of tea, honey and lemonade.
But the Teavana Rev Up Wellness Tea is our fav, because green tea can essentially expedite your coughing-self to better health. After all, everyone hates lingering cold or flu symptoms.
Bustle explains that these teas could help your immune system fend off colds this sick-season, because these soothing beverages contain vitamins and natural ingredients that are specifically tailored toward helping your immune system.
After Starbucks recently made their formerly secret drink, the Medicine Ball, an official (and permanent) menu item, it’s exciting to see that the company is refreshing its selection with more beverages that support your physical and mental health. (Because daily tea time is an essential part of our self-care routine.)
Now the reigning queen Mariah Carey can finally get the tea she deserves. (And you can lip sync along to “Obsessed” in between sips and sneezes. We won’t judge.)
