Keep An Eye Out For This YouTuber’s Cameo In ‘Good Burger 2’

While I’m not a ’90s baby, I  have an older brother who is, so growing up, I was often watching re-runs of some of the era’s most popular Nickelodeon shows and movies, including Good Burger. With reboots and sequels of my favorites ranging from Zoey 102 to Good Burger 2, my childhood nostalgia has returned in 2023.

Famous cameos in the Good Burger reboot, such as actress Marsai Martin and retired NFL player Rob Gronkowski, add to my excitement for the movie. Out of all the cameos, one celebrity stood out to me the most and that’s AMP member Kai Cenat.

Cenat, is a YouTuber and Twitch streamer. Cenat’s the platform’s second most subscribed Twitch streamer, and he’s also a member of the YouTube content group AMP. AMP (Any Means Possible) uploads a range of videos on YouTube that vary from challenges to vlogs. Cenat is the squad’s youngest member and has been recognized for his extroverted nature within the team’s content.

In the Good Burger 2 trailer, Cenat can be seen eating at Good Burger and asking Ed if he could remove the ice from his drink since that’s not what he ordered. In true Ed fashion, instead of replacing the drink, he removes the ice with his bare hands. Ed then plops the cup on the table, spilling the drink on Cenat.

Cenat’s appearance in the Good Burger 2 trailer instantly grabbed my attention. Although his cameo is quick, it added to my excitement for the new movie.

If you’re unfamiliar with Good Burger, it’s a 1997 film based on a sketch performance from Nickelodeon’s comedy show All That. The sketch featured a cashier named Ed (played by Kel Mitchell) from a fictional restaurant called Good Burger as he collected orders from a range of customers. What made the sketch so enjoyable was Ed’s failure to successfully carry out orders and his quirky behavior, which tended to scare off customers.

The 1997 film adaptation, Good Burger, followed a similar format to the All That segment but included Ed’s friend Dexter (played by Kenan Thompson) as they worked together to keep Good Burger afloat while competing against Mondo Burger, another fast food restaurant.

Good Burger 2 picks up in 2023, with Dexter and Ed having grown up and still working for the Good Burger franchise. In the trailer, Ed and Dexter learn of a large corporation looking to transform Good Burger into a Mega Burger franchise.

Good Burger 2 will be available to stream on Paramount+ beginning Nov. 22.
