In case you weren’t up late cramming for midterms when the news broke last night, it’s official: Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are engaged. The two have never been the most subtle couple, from their recent sexy tweeting to the North West baby-naming fiasco, so it goes without saying that the proposal was a big affair.
Kanye popped the question at San Francisco’s Giants’ stadium, where friends and family were celebrating Kim’s 33rd birthday, and true to his usual over-the-top antics, he did it with flair. According to E! News, a 50-piece orchestra played Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful” as Kanye got down on one knee…in front of a flashing Jumbotron reading “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!”
Swoon or cringe, you have to admit that the proposal is totally Kimye, as is the outrageous rock that Kim showed off on her Instagram.
Kongrats, to Kimye. May they live happily ever after (or at least longer that 72 days)!
