Kylie Jenner Revealed She Never Actually Cut Jordyn Woods Out After The Tristan Thompson Scandal

If you’ve been following the Kardashians for a few years, you probably remember the now-infamous cheating scandal involving Khloe Kardashian’s boyfriend at the time, Tristan Thompson, and Kylie Jenner’s childhood best friend, Jordyn Woods. The pair made headlines in February 2019 when they were caught kissing at a house party. The entire Kardashian clan reportedly unfollowed Woods on Instagram, with multiple sources claiming the family had all severed ties with the model.

Despite the betrayal, Jenner expressed to Cosmopolitan UK in Sept. 2019 that she hoped she could reconcile with Woods one day. For a while, it seemed Jenner and Woods’ relationship would never be the same. However, after the two were spotted hanging out together in September 2023, fans wondered if the former friends were back to being besties. Though this wasn’t clear before, Jenner gave an update on where she stands with Woods today.

In a Nov. 27 interview with Jennifer Lawrence for Interview Magazine, Jenner finally spilled the tea about how she and Woods managed to rekindle their friendship. It turns out that the former friends remained in contact through the years and have hung out frequently in the privacy of Jenner’s house.

“Jordyn and I, we always stayed in touch throughout the years and we would meet up at my house and catch up and just talk through everything,” Jenner said. “We never fully cut each other off, and one day, naturally, we were like, we want to get sushi and we don’t want to hide anymore. There’s a learning lesson in everything, and I think that in a weird way, everything happens how it’s supposed to happen. We were so attached at the hip that we needed space to grow into the people that we were supposed to be. I needed that independence and that confidence because she was like my security blanket for so long.”

Lawrence responded, “I get that and I’m happy that you still have that in a healthier way. She was so young and she made a mistake, but those lifetime friends are very important.”

Fans were quick to share their reactions to news of Jenner and Woods remaining friends throughout the years on X (formerly known as Twitter), with many having similar sentiments to Lawrence.

I, for one, am glad that Jenner and Woods have let bygones be bygones. Before Woods’ betrayal rocked the pop culture world of 2019, their friendship was oneI aspired to have. Now, I can’t wait for the next chapter of their lives!
