Lili Reinhart & Cole Sprouse’s Appearance At The Met Gala Is All The Proof We Needed That #BugHead Is Indeed A Thing IRL

Maybe you’ve always kind of suspected that Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart are dating—who hasn’t, TBH? The Riverdale co-stars, who play Jughead Jones and Betty Cooper on the series, have never officially confirmed whether or not they’re in a relationship, but things seem pretty serious after last night, when they attended the 2018 Met Gala together.

According to People, the two have been caught spending quite a bit of time together, including kissing in public in Paris in April—but attending a Met Gala together typically means that a relationship is fairly serious.

Sprouse and Reinhart have been quiet about their romantic lives, which is totally cool. “It’s called a private life for a reason,” Reinhart told Seventeen. “It’s mine, and it’s special and sacred. My relationships are between me and whomever I’m with, not between me and the world.”

Sprouse has expressed similar views to Reinhart, telling People that it’s an honor that people enjoy their characters and want to see them together IRL, but it’s also an invasion of privacy.

“People can speculate all they want,” he told the magazine. “People speculate about me with every member of the cast practically, but it’s really no one’s right to know. It’s also sexy, these parts of the relationships that are just yours.”

In March, a fan asked Sprouse and Reinhart about their relationship during a Riverdale panel at PaleyFest. According to Entertainment Tonight, both actors looked clearly uncomfortable, and Sprouse declined to comment.

We totally get their desire to keep their private life, well, private, but we also think the photos of them walking the red carpet at the Met Gala are adorable.
