This ‘You’ Actor Was Also In ‘Euphoria’ & ‘The White Lotus’

I had no idea how the fourth season of You would turn out, with part 1 airing on Feb. 9 and the only information I had going into the season was that Joe is going to be a professor — let’s just say I was constantly on the edge of my seat. While I realize that February is the month for romance and cute Valentine’s Day ideas to write your SO, I’m still hopelessly single — so I think it’s time for me to sit back, grab a snack, and binge-watch part one of Season 4.

While on my hunt to search for any new content to look forward to when watching the season, I stumbled across new characters. Adam, played by none other than Lukas Gage, is one of the characters who caught my attention the most. Adam is a wealthy American living in London who is dating Lady Phoebe, who is also from a wealthy, aristocratic family. They’re both in the social circle of an elite friend group, in typical drama series fashion. I gradually became obsessed (but not like, Joe-level obsessed) with learning more about Lukas Gage, and his life should honestly be a movie in and of itself. If you’re curious like me and want to learn more about this emerging actor, keep reading.

Lukas Gage’s ACTING CAREER BEGAN AT A YOUNG AGE.

Lukas Gage’s popularity has certainly surged in recent years as a result of his multiple character roles and appearances on some of the most popular streaming platforms, but he’s not a new face and has been involved in acting since he was a child.

Gage was asked how he got into acting in a 2017 interview for Galore. “I got into acting as a kid, I would go to film camp every summer,” he explained. “It was a safe way for me to express myself and was almost like therapy. When I decided to pursue [acting] after high school, it was more about the human psychology and behavior and my curiosity and love for people.”

YOU MAY RECOGNIZE HIM IN OTHER Gen Z-favorite shows like Euphoria and The White Lotus.

Gage is a rising star in the entertainment industry, and his extensive acting resume includes recurring roles in some of HBO Max’s biggest television hits. You might recognize Gage as Dillion, a hotel employee in The White Lotus‘ first season, or as the controversial Tyler in Euphoria. That’s not all of Gage’s work; he also appeared in Netflix’s On My Block and Hulu’s Love, Victor, among many others. I have a feeling this isn’t the end of Gage’s work and that this is just the beginning of his impressive career. It’s time to rewatch some of these shows to see if I can spot his character appearances!

HE’S A SCREENWRITER in addition to being an actor.

According to Deadline, Gage “co-wrote with Phoebe Fisher Down Low, a FilmNation drama [in which] he also stars with Zachary Quinto, Simon Rex, Judith Light, and Audra McDonald.” The film is an upcoming comedy about two men, one of whom is repressed and the other who helps to change that through their journey together.

The producers of the film even highlighted Gage’s talent in another Deadline article, stating, “Lukas and Zachary are the perfect duo of hilarious and heartbreaking performances. Lukas’s ability to co-write the script and bring it and the character he created to life reveals just how much of a multi-talented creative he is.”

Gage CRASHED PARIS HILTON’S WEDDING.

Yes, you are not imagining that headline. Gage did, in fact, crash the wedding of iconic Y2K socialite, Paris Hilton, in 2021. Hilton was unaware of the incident until it was revealed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen during her interview.

Later, in an episode of Hilton’s podcast, This is Paris, titled “This is Lukas Gage,” she invited Gage to discuss the unexpected revelation further via video chat. “I think the story got a little fumbled and maybe exaggerated, but I had a mutual friend [who] was there at the wedding — and he didn’t tell me that it was a wedding,” he admitted.  “He just said, ‘Come to Paris’ party.’” Gage continued by saying he would definitely crash her wedding again if given a do-over, but this time, “I would come in a nice suit and [bring] a gift,” he shared.

How did Hilton take it all in? She wasn’t upset at all, and actually wished she could have talked to him that night, but she was glad they became friends in the end. Honestly, what an iconic story to just casually tell.

Gage HAS AN INSTAGRAM.

Gage has the most iconic Instagram aesthetic, full of photos of him in various modeling works, vacations, and fun photos with family, friends, and co-stars. It’s no wonder he has over 200k followers. If you want more access and updates on Gage’s life as seen through his eyes, following him on Instagram is the way to go.

HE IS RUMORED TO BE IN A RELATIONSHIP with Katie Maloney.

Before you fall in love with Gage, I hate to break the news that he may be off the market. On Jan. 1, Katie Maloney, a cast member of Vanderpump Rules, posted a photo of herself and Gage lying down in bed together with the caption “Bb” on her Instagram story. Not only did Gage repost the pic, but he also added his own caption, “us only in 2023.” This prompted rumors to swirl if the two were dating since Maloney divorced Vanderpump Rules co-star Tom Schwartz in 2022.

Gage HAS MULTIPLE TATTOOS.

It doesn’t take much Instagram digging to find a couple of Gage’s tattoos. During his time on The White Lotus, however, he revealed a tattoo that caused quite a stir among fans. Gage discussed the tattoo that was shown during an intimate scene between his character, Dillon, and White Lotus Resort’s hotel manager, Armond, in an interview with the AV Club. (Spoiler alert: The tattoo was on his butt.) He jokes that the makeup artists and crew “[probably] didn’t want to spend the hours in makeup covering it up anyway.”
