Morning! While you were sleeping (or staying up to binge-watch Friends for the tenth time) (or pulling an all-nighter in the library), a few things went down that you’ll probably want to know about. So grab a cup of coffee, settle in, and get scrolling.
Rumor Has It
The first official trailer for Noah Centineo’s new Netflix rom-com The Perfect Date dropped on Tuesday, and it will make you swoon.
Centineo stars as Brooks Rattigan, an ambitious high schooler who dreams about attending Yale. The only problem is that he doesn’t have the money to see this dream come true. “I’ve always wanted to date the most popular girl, drive the nicest car and go to the fanciest school. But I can’t afford any of that,” Centineo’s characters says in the trailer. So when Brooks makes a deal to take Celia Lieberman (Laura Marano) to the school dance, he comes up with a genius idea to let girls pay him for dates. It sounds perfect—at least at first.
Brooks enlists the help of his tech-savvy best friend, Murph (Odiseas Georgiadis), to create an app that allows girls to call him whenever they need the perfect boyfriend. There also is a love triangle that forms between Brooks, Celia and Shelby, the dream girl, who is played by Camila Mendes.
I cannot wait to cancel my weekend plans and to binge this movie over and over again. The Perfect Date premieres on April 12.
News You Can Eat
It’s time to hop on the unicorn trend! Kraft just released a unicorn-shaped edition that provides the same, traditional taste with a fun, whimsical twist, Delish reports.
What does unicorn-shaped pasta actually mean? Kraft’s Unicorn Shapes consists of macaroni in the shape of a rainbow, stars, and of course, unicorn heads. It also comes with the same cheese packet that we all know and love. The box moves away from the blue design and instead features a rainbow background with clouds, stars, and a unicorn. It’s basically the cheesy-goodness and magical creature combo that we’ve all waited for.

Of course, you cook it the same—Boil the pasta, make the cheese sauce with butter and milk and enjoy! It takes less than 15 minutes, and there’s no artificial flavors, preservatives or dyes.
You can grab a box at major stores like Target or Walmart.
Then This Happened
The Senate blocked the Green New Deal, in a 57-0 vote on Tuesday. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell held the procedural vote, and many Democrats called the GOP motion a “sham” meant to force the party to take a stance and to divide it, The New York Times reports.
Most members of the Democratic caucus (43) voted “present” when the plan came to a vote on Tuesday as a way to call the Republicans out, Vox reports. But it failed. Three Democratic Sens. Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, and Doug Jones, as well as one independent Angus King, voted against it.
Because I encouraged them to vote present, along w/ others.
McConnell tried to rush the #GreenNewDeal straight to the floor without a hearing.
The real question we should be asking: Why does the Senate GOP refuse to hold any major hearings on climate change? https://t.co/de8oKOXeJf

“I could not be more glad that the American people will have the opportunity to learn precisely where each one of their senators stands on the ‘Green New Deal’: a radical, top-down, socialist makeover of the entire US economy,” McConnell tweeted.
Parts of the Green New Deal aimed to make the U.S. carbon-neutral by 2030, to improve the environment, and to create jobs.
