Here’s How To Watch The 2024 New Year’s Eve Ball Drop If You Don’t Have Cable

New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and we’ll soon be kissing 2023 goodbye! Of course, now’s the time to start getting your New Year’s resolutions in order so that you have a clear vision of what you want your 2024 to look like. You also might want to start planning out your New Year’s Eve activities.  But no matter if you’re staying in this year or attending a party, one event that you don’t want to miss is the 2024 New Year’s Eve Ball Drop in New York City. 

The New Year’s Eve Ball drop has been a tradition since 1907 and has been broadcast to the public in the late 1950s on CBS. The tradition rose to prominence in the early 1970s when ABC began broadcasting Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. The night was hosted by Dick Clark until he passed away in 2012. Now, it’s hosted by Ryan Seacrest and continues to feature show-stopping performances that you won’t want to miss. Luckily, this year’s event will be available to stream so you can watch it no matter what you have planned for New Year’s Eve! 

Where Can I Stream The 2024 New Year’s Eve Ball Drop?

If you want to watch Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on TV, you can watch it on NBC, CNN, or ABC at 8 p.m. EST, with the ball drop countdown beginning at 11:59 p.m. EST. If you won’t be home or you don’t have cable, don’t fret! You can still stream it live on TimesSquareNYC.com, NewYearsEve.nyc, and TimesSquareBall.net. The major TV event will also be available to watch on Facebook and X (formerly known as Twitter) starting at 6 p.m. EST.

The 2024 Times Square NYE ball drop will also be available to stream on Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, and fuboTv. If you’re staying in one place or going to different locations throughout the night, there are plenty of ways for you to watch the ball drop. 

Who Will Be Performing At Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2024

Of course, along with the ball drop, one of the most iconic parts of New Year’s Eve is watching all of the amazing talent perform at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest leading up to the ball drop. This year’s performances include Green Day, Ludacris, Janelle Monae, Ellie Goulding, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Janelle Monae, Reneé Rapp with Coco Jones, Aqua, Doechii, Loud Luxury x Two Friends with Bebe Rehxa, Nile Rodgers & Chic, and Paul Russell.

On Dec. 13, it was also announced that Post Malone, NewJeans and Ivy Queen would be joining the celebration. Along with Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper will also be ringing in the New Year in New York City during the televised event New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen.

You can watch it live on CNN at 8 P.M. EST or stream it on Max or CNN.com. The star-studded performances for this show include  Enrique Iglesias, Maroon 5, the Jonas Brothers, Flo Rida, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker, and Rod Stewart.
