Nia Sioux Has A Cameo In The ‘Mean Girls’ Musical Movie & I’m Freaking TF Out

Iā€™ve been a Mean Girls fan for nearly a decade now, and I donā€™t think I have to explain why. The world of The Plastics, although problematic, was something I was totally obsessed with (and still am), even though I know it’s something I would never be involved in. When I found out they were making a new Mean Girls movie using songs from the Broadway musical, I was freaking out. Iā€™m a musical theater girlie forever and always, so combining one of my favorite musicals with one of my favorite movies of all time was a match made in heaven.Ā 

We all know the cast for this movie is incredible, but thereā€™s one cameo in particular Iā€™m so excited for. If you were a fellow Dance Moms fan when you were younger, get excited because Dance Moms fan-favorite Nia Sioux has a cameo in the Mean Girls musical movie. While we donā€™t know much about her role yet, Iā€™m freaking out and so happy for her!

Sioux shared on Instagram on Jan 9 that sheā€™ll be making an appearance in the movie. And her caption was so cute, ā€œYou may see this face in the new Mean Girls moviešŸ˜ so thrilled to be a part of something so iconic! My first big screen debutšŸ„¹ go watch Mean Girls Jan 12thšŸ’—ā€Ā 

If you werenā€™t a Dance Moms fan or arenā€™t familiar with Sioux, allow me to fill you in. Sioux was one of the OG Dance Moms girls and stayed on the show for the first seven seasons before leaving in 2017. Since leaving the show, Sioux hasnā€™tĀ stopped working. She released music, starred as Hanna Brooks in the Lifetime movie Imperfect High, and is now a senior at UCLA, where sheā€™s studying American Literature.

Sioux has been such a fun person to follow as sheā€™s truly created a name for herself and has been focused on doing things she loved ever since leaving Dance Moms. In addition to making music and now having her first big screen debut in Mean Girls, Sioux has also grown a massive fan base on Instagram, having nearly 6 million followers. On her Instagram, you can find Sioux posting her latest collaborations, her game day fits, her red carpet appearances ā€” or in the case for Mean Girls, hot pink carpet.Ā 

If youā€™re also super excited to see Sioux in Mean Girls, make sure to follow her on IG for potential updates and of course, get your tickets to see Mean Girls in theaters. FYI, make sure youā€™re wearing pink when you see the movie, because, duh.Ā
