With a new day comes a new bout of apparent drama in the Cyrus family. According to sources from People and Entertainment Tonight, Noah Cyrus dated her mom’s new husband, Dominic Purcell, before they established a relationship. Yeah, that’s right. Tish Cyrus married the 54-year-old Prison Break star and her celebrity “hall pass” in August 2023. Her Campus reached out to Noah and Tish Cyrus’ teams for comment but didn’t hear back by the time of publication.
According to People, Noah Cyrus and Purcell had a “friends with benefits” type relationship in 2022. No one reportedly knew about their relationship. Whether Noah was invited or not, she was not present at her mom’s wedding last August — instead, she was spotted at Paris Fashion Week.Â
Tish Cyrus shared on the Call Her Daddy podcast that she and Purcell had their first encounter over an Instagram DM initiated by Purcell in 2016. She didn’t see that message for a year. It wasn’t until July 2022, when Tish left heart emojis on Purcell’s Instagram post after her split from Billy Ray Cyrus, that she initially made their relationship public. For the following months, she was happily posting about her new man. In April 2023, Purcell proposed, and they got married four months later.Â
Tish Cyrus apparently didn’t warn Noah about her forming a connection with Purcell, which left Noah “offended,” says a source from Entertainment Tonight.
Sources tell People that Miley had “no idea” about her youngest sister being in a relationship with Purcell. “Miley had no idea about the drama with Dominic. No idea at all,” said People’s sources. Her Campus reached out to Miley’s team for comment but didn’t hear back by the time of publication.
According to the report, Miley confronted her mom about the news, saying it was a strange situation, “but she loves her mom and wants her to be happy.”
As for Noah, she’s now engaged to fashion designer Pinkus as of May 2023.Â
So, is everything OK between Noah, Miley, and their mom? Only time will tell if any of the Cyrus women will open up about the reports themselves.
