Don’t freak out, collegiettes, but it looks like the team behind the Cruel Intentions musical is adapting The O.C. on-stage. The catch? The musical is set to run for one night only, on August 30th in Los Angeles. Such a tease.
There is a Twitter account for this dream come true, with game-changing updates like this one:
I have an answer to ONE big question we’ve been getting — YES. Seth Cohen will sing a Death Cab for Cutie song!

Not to mention this call for suggestions, which you simply cannot pass up:
What songs do you want to hear in #TheOCMusical? We want to know!
— The O.C. Musical (@OCMusical) June 29, 2015
Rick Cosnett will be playing Sandy Cohen, while Drew Seely takes on the role of Luke Ward, and Christine Lakin takes on that of Kirsten Cohen. The rest of the cast has yet to be announced.
What better way for Seth, Summer, Ryan and Marissa to reunite? We can’t wait to find out who plays them!
Are you excited for The O.C. musical, collegiettes?
