America’s pizza lovers can rejoice knowing that the country’s first pizza ATM is now open.
Cincinnati’s Xavier University made every college student’s dream come true when they installed the ATM this month.
In just three minutes after placing an order, students will receive their freshly-made 12 inch pizzas for $9 to $10, according to NBC News. The best part? Pizza ATM is open 24/7, unlike the dining halls, so students craving a late night snack don’t have to leave campus to get fuel for their all nighter.
“We were looking for a cost-effective way to solve this problem of having a late-night pizza option on campus,” Xavier Assistant Vice President Jude Kiah told NBC. “We liked the idea of being the first school to have this high-quality machine.”
The pizzas, Kiah said, are always fresh. Xavier’s award-winning chefs prepare them in the same way as the dining hall pizzas, and the ATM, which can hold 70 pizzas at a time, will cook them upon purchase.
“We’ve gotten almost 700 inquiries about the machine,” Kiah said. “Many, many other schools are interested in bringing it to their campuses.”
Students will have to wait another month before experiencing the satisfaction of Pizza ATM, but Xavier’s female soccer team was lucky enough to preview the service.
