Good news for all of my fellow reality television lovers: Love Is Blind: After the Altar is finally here! The third season of Netflix’s experimental dating show has been… interesting, to say the least. After Season 3 initially wrapped, we were left believing that only Alex and Brennon and Colleen and Matt were sticking together. But things changed once the reunion came out and Raven and SK announced that they were dating again — even though they walked away from each other at the altar. Confused? Get ready for more, because the state of this relationship took a swift turn before the two revealed that they were going their separate ways. So, what really happened between Raven and SK during After the Altar? Spoiler warning: Spoilers for Season 3 of Love Is Blind: and Love Is Blind: After the Altar follow.
Raven and SK’s relationship on Season 3 of Love Is Blind went through some struggles that the pair seemingly couldn’t work through. On the couple’s wedding day, SK shocked everyone (including Raven) when he said that he could not marry her.
“Today, Raven, we both know how we feel about each other. I love you. However, we have a very unique and complex set of circumstances. I feel like today is not the best time for us to do this,” he said at the altar.
All in all, problems about where the two would end up living together held SK back from saying yes to marrying Raven. While Raven wanted to continue living in Dallas, Texas, SK had plans to live in California to finish out his master’s degree. So, essentially, they would be in a long-distance relationship, something that it seemed like the couple didn’t want to.
Fans were shocked to hear at the Season 3 reunion, which aired on Nov. 9, 2022, that Raven and SK had actually gotten back together despite the struggles they faced throughout the duration of filming. In fact, it was even more perplexing to hear that Raven and SK had entered a long-distance relationship, something that everyone thought was holding them back from getting married in the first place.
Alas, two weeks after the reunion aired, the pair announced that they were breaking up… again. Drama ensued after a few women came forward claiming that SK had cheated on Raven. In particular, two separate women both took to TikTok to reveal that they had been dating SK in now-deleted videos.
The first woman posted a video in which she said, “Put a finger down if you went on a date in April with a guy from Hinge and then you see that he’s actually on the show Love Is Blind, and that he met you after the show was filmed, but is still with the same girl right now.” She even followed up with a series of screenshots of her messaging with SK.
The second woman, who happens to be one of SK’s exes, posted a video with text that read, “When your ex takes you to Europe and talks about getting back together, but on the trip you find out he has a ‘fiance’ from a reality show he did on Netflix but then he tells you it’s all fake and for the $, […] And now you’re waiting for him to get exposed as the actual villain.” Yikes!
While Raven initially defended her man, calling the accusations “rumors,” the pair announced in a joint statement that they were breaking up on Nov. 20, 2022. So, when the trailer for After the Altar came out, many were shocked to see that SK had potentially proposed to Raven. Viewers also got a sneak peek of Raven’s reactions to the cheating rumors, something that is fully addressed in the three-part miniseries.
So… did Raven and SK get re-engaged before breaking up? Yes, they actually did. Obviously After the Altar was filmed sometime after the reunion (which is thought to be filmed in early fall) and before these cheating rumors came up.
At the very end of the third episode of the miniseries, right after the film from their engagement was shown, Raven explained that SK did cheat on her. She started by saying how “a lot has changed” and that because of the infidelity their “relationship is over.”
Raven and SK’s breakup has been anything but private, and she’s even taken to TikTok about how nervous she is to go back and rewatch everything that was filmed during After the Altar
“It’s so crazy to watch it back and remember my feelings then, I was so happy. I really was so invested in the person that everyone saw and everyone loved. That’s the person that I saw and loved every day, too,” she said about SK. “To see everything that has happened since then, is so hard, because that was not the person I thought I was with.”
Raven exclaimed that she would definitely take the lessons she learned from her relationship with SK to her next. “I know in my heart I still believe in love, of course, […] I’m so happy for my friends who have found that. They are my biggest inspiration, and I know it’s coming for me.”
It seems like these two just weren’t meant for each other, no matter how blind they may have thought love really was.
