Reesa Teesa Got Real About The Money She Made From Her ‘Who TF Did I Marry’ TikTok Series

Reesa Teesa had TikTok viewers across the globe staying tuned to her 50-part storytime series, Who TF Did I Marry, where she told the story of how she met, married, and divorced her ex-husband, Legion. With her cautionary tale garnering over 50 million views and gaining worldwide recognition, many viewers wondered how much money Reesa made from posting multiple hours worth of cinematic videos to her account. The answer? 0 dollars.

In a TikTok video posted on Feb. 25, which she captioned “Saturday night relaxation,” Reesa Teesa put an end to the claims of how much money she made from her TikTok series. “The stories about the amount of money that I made on TikTok with this whole Who TF Did I Marry series are wildly inaccurate,” she said in the video. Unfortunately, Reesa Teesa revealed that when she first started releasing her 50-part story, she was not yet a part of the TikTok Creator Fund, an initiative put in place by the social media platform to reward, celebrate, and support creators while helping them further their financial goals. Reesa Teesa says, “I did not get approved until midway into the series. All of the videos I did beforehand weren’t even counted for the Creator Fund.” It’s important to note that under the Creator Fund terms, some videos may be ineligible to qualify for the Creator Fund, including live streams, duets, stitches, and videos that were made pre-acceptance.

Another factor that hindered Reesa Teesa from receiving money from the remainder of her videos was that the Creator Fund only considers “eligible viewers” to count toward her video views, which she states “wasn’t much.” Then, she revealed another huge plot twist: She was suspended from the Creator Fund. She had multiple violations due to her re-uploading some of her pre-acceptance videos into the series, which is prohibited. “For the next 30 days, I am not making any money from the videos. I am merely making these videos from the heart,” the TikToker said.

Despite having her account suspended from the Creator Fund, Reesa Teesa posted on Feb. 26 that her TikTok account did get verified, and that some of the videos uploaded in the series have been restored in the Creator Fund — meaning she’s able to monetize them. In addition to TikTok giving her some of the credit she deserves, Reesa Teesa also revealed that Delta Airlines bought her tickets to London and Paris, making her high school dream come true.

Ultimately, with all the struggles Reesa Teesa overcame in dealing with Legion, I hope for her to continue soaring in her new career as a content creator. Now officially out of TikTok jail and getting her account verified, the next thing Reesa Teesa deserves is a dark blue BMW X5 with a cognac interior.
