Ross Lynch & Jaz Sinclair Have The Cutest Friends-To-Lovers Relationship Timeline

Ross Lynch and Jaz Sinclair are the Gen Z equivalent of Hollywood’s golden couples: They’re our Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, our Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, our Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar. These relationships are bound together by a common invisible string: They all started off as coworkers-slash-friends.

Lynch and Sinclair, commonly referred to by their ship name “Raz,” have been couple goals ever since they started dating in 2019 while filming Chilling Adventures of Sabrina together. They’re each other’s dates on red carpets! She joins him onstage at The Driver Era’s concerts! They post Instagram pictures of each other with the sweetest captions ever! This is exactly why fans are shocked at the recent TikTok rumors that Raz has broken up after Lynch spoke about heartbreak at his concert on June 11. Her Campus reached out to Lynch’s and Sinclair’s teams for comment on the breakup rumors, but did not hear back by the time of publication.

While fans wait for their faves to release an official statement, I can’t help but think of happier times in a Raz-blessed world. Thanks to Lynch and Sinclair’s celeb status, we can trace their relationship evolution and cutest moments from the very beginning.

March 2018: They begin shooting Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Following the success of Riverdale on The CW, Netflix decided to give another teen comic book franchise a dark update. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, a supernatural horror based on Sabrina Spellman’s witchy antics, found its romantic lead in Ross Lynch. Before being cast as Harvey Kinkle, Lynch was mainly known for his Disney Channel roles. Jaz Sinclair was brought on board to play Rosalind “Roz” Walker. The pair reportedly met on set when production began in Vancouver.

December 2018: Sinclair posts a (now-deleted) birthday tribute to Lynch on Instagram.

Although it’s no longer up on her Instagram, Us Weekly reports that Sinclair captioned the post, “Happy Birthday to my favorite. I’m really happy you were born. Here’s to many more good chats, belly laughs and dances in the new year.” The sweet post instantly sparked relationship rumors.

New Year’s Eve 2019: Raz kisses at midnight.

Lynch’s sister Rydel posted a Snapchat Story celebrating the moment 2018 turned into 2019. You can see Lynch and Sinclair sharing a New Year’s kiss right in front of the TV screen.

Lynch played off the increasing dating rumors in January 2019, telling ET that he and Sinclair “really just hit it off, and we would spend every day together… Jaz is like, my closest friend right now.” They looked pretty close in that video to me!

April 2019: The pair reportedly gets cozy on a couch in NYC.

An eyewitness told Us Weekly that they saw Lynch and Sinclair packing some serious PDA at The Roxy Hotel in New York City after a screening and cast Q&A for Sabrina. “They were sitting on a couch together, his arms were around her waist,” the source claimed. “They were looking into each other’s eyes… noses touching and giggling” before “kissing on the couch together” moments later.

January 2020: Raz goes red carpet official.

Lynch and Sinclair stood arm-in-arm at the Balmain fashion show during Paris Fashion Week. They posted a TikTok dancing (and almost kissing!) in a (shared?) hotel room before stepping foot on the carpet.

APRIL 2020: LYNCH CLAPS BACK AT HATERS ON INSTAGRAM AND CONFIRMS THE COUPLE’S RELATIONSHIP.

The couple’s biggest moments always seem to circle back to an Instagram post. In April 2020, Lynch posted a photodump of him and Sinclair with the caption, “Yo guys whoever is being hateful to Jasmine and I’s relationship (especially on a race basis wtf) can take a step back. We are both extremely happy. Thanks,” with a thumbs-up emoji. Good on him for standing up for his (now official) girl!

SEPTEMBER 2020: SINCLAIR ATTENDS RYDEL LYNCH’S WEDDING.

The rest of Raz’s 2020 can be summed up in a series of adorable Instagram posts, but one of their biggest milestones stayed offline. Insider wrote a feature on Rydel Lynch’s wedding, snapping shots of the ceremony and attendees throughout the day. One picture of the guests shows that her brother brought Sinclair as his date to the wedding.

DECEMBER 2020: SINCLAIR’S BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE TO LYNCH GETS EVEN CUTER.

Now that their relationship was official, Sinclair didn’t hold back on this year’s birthday post for Lynch, even using the word “love” in the caption. Try not to cry.

JUNE 2021: LYNCH REVEALS THE COUPLE’S OFF-SCREEN CHEMISTRY MADE IT ON SCREEN.

Harvey Kinkle and Roz Walker became a couple on Sabrina — but that wasn’t the original plan. In GQ’s Actually Me interview series, Lynch revealed that the show’s writers saw how close the pair were getting off-set and and “decided that they wanted to write for it. Because you can’t really fake chemistry. It was pretty magnetic, like we couldn’t get enough of each other. As writers, you have to follow what’s working, and that’s what was working.”

2021-2022: THEIR HONEYMOON PHASE GOES VIRAL.

Scroll through Lynch and Sinclair’s Instagram pages from these two years and you’ll see some adorable couple’s selfies and gushy captions. The pair can’t seem to get enough of each other, and neither can their fans.

JANUARY 2023: SINCLAIR POSES WITH LYNCH’S NIECE.

The couple has been pretty silent about their relationship on their own social media accounts since October 2022. The latest Instagram post that shows them together was posted on Lynch’s mother’s account, where the pair can be seen feeding Lynch’s niece, Sweetie Funk.

JUNE 2023: THE BREAKUP RUMORS BEGIN.

A TikTok video posted during The Driver Era’s concert on June 11 shows Lynch saying, “I didn’t know it could get worse, though, you know? But the thing about heartbreak is… the only thing that really helps is music.” It’s unconfirmed what (or who) Lynch was referring to, but some fans are worried that Raz has called it quits.

Lynch and Sinclair haven’t seemed fazed by rumors in the past, so it’s unlikely that they will address this one directly any time soon. Lynch is performing across Europe with The Driver Era this summer, so I’ll keep an eye out for any more on-stage confessions of love or heartbreak.
