Last night, Ryan Reynolds received an MTV Movie Award for Best Comedic Performance in his film Deadpool. Humble as always, Reynolds thanked the crew that made his decade-long dream a reality and the fans who pushed for the film’s production. He went on to thank his wife, Blake Lively, in a way that may seem unorthodox to most but can only be expected from Reynolds—by joking about their sex life.
After Zac Efron and Seth Rogen announced Reynolds’ win and Salt-N-Pepa came out to sing “Shoop” alongside dancers dressed as Deadpool, Reynolds took the stage to accept the award with the signature dry sense of humor his fans know and love. Speaking of the film, Reynolds said it was a blast to make, but it wasn’t “all unicorns and cocaine.”Â
Reynolds ended his acceptance speech by thanking Blake. “Everything I do is to make her laugh,” he said. “Especially the sex.” He may be the only man who could talk about his sex life on national television yet somehow remain comical and completely charming. We’re sure Lively appreciates his efforts to humor her, both in and out of the bedroom.
