If you didn’t think 2017 could get any scarier, you were wrong — because Saturday Night Live just turned Kellyanne Conway into Pennywise, the clown from It and it’s absolutely as terrifying as it sounds.
In what was probably the best skit from last night’s show, Alex Moffat played Anderson Cooper leaving a taping of his CNN show late one night. As he heads out into the pouring rain in Manhattan dressed in a yellow raincoat, the wind blows his paper into a storm drain (two warning signs about the direction things are heading in).
When Anderson goes to retrieve his paper, he looks down into the gutter only to be greeted by, you guessed it, Kellywise the clown. “What did you do to your makeup?” a terrified “Coopie” asks. “I toned it down,” Kellywise replies. (And I can’t stop laughing.)
From there, Kellywise offers some rapid-fire alternative facts to Anderson in an attempt to get herself back on his show, including this gem. “Puerto Rico actually was worse before Hurricane Maria, and the hurricane actually did blow some buildings back together, and I don’t know why Elizabeth Warren won’t tweet about that,” Kellywise tells Anderson. Which is hilarious until you consider the fact that it’s something we could totally picture the IRL Kellyanne Conway saying.
I won’t spoil the ending, but let’s just say things don’t end well for poor Anderson — check out the whole thing below:
