It’s almost time to say so long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye to some of the older and arguably more interesting Glee characters, because they will be graduating from the fictional William McKinley High School in 2012.
Glee creator, Ryan Murphy, spilled the beans on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show yesterday that cast members like Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer will be leaving soon.
“The thing that I wanted to do and the cast wanted to do, we didn’t want to have a show where they were in high school for 8 years. We really wanted it to be true to that experience. We thought it would be really cool if we were true to the timeline,” Murphy said.
This is a risky move from Murphy, but he’s right. It gets really annoying that certain TV shows give us sexy 25-year-old actors and expect us to believe that they’re stuggling over geometry proofs.
But, honestly, can this show survive without sucess-hungry Rachel Berry and hunky Finn Hudson?
We shall see, but they’ll really have to find some excpetional talent to replace them.
