SOS! This is an emergency; SZA announced her North American tour dates immediately following the release of her highly anticipated second studio album, and now is the time to look into purchasing tickets to see her live and up close!
I’ve spent the entire week since Dec. 9, like the majority of the internet, listening to SZA’s new album, SOS. Not only that, but it appears that whatever SZA does right now, social media embraces wholeheartedly. Like the new Tiktok trend spawned by SZA’s SNL skit song, which unofficially commenced the winter cuffing season, or videos based on one of her tracks, “Kill Bill” making rounds.
Whether it’s changing my Instagram captions to SZA’s song lyrics or crying while listening to “Ghosts in The Machine,” her collaboration with Phoebe Bridgers, I’ve spent far too much time obsessing over this album and SZA herself. However, I didn’t have much time to adore the album in its entirety because on Dec. 13, not long after its release, SZA announced her SOS 2023 North American tour, her first-ever arena tour. Let’s hope Ticketmaster is a little nicer to us this time because we seriously don’t need another Taylor Swift presale fiasco.
When do SZA tickets go on sale and what is the presale code?
Tickets will go on sale for presale access today, (yes, today!) Thursday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. Wait, bestie — before you start scrambling to find it, the presale code is CHEER. The general public will be able to purchase tickets on Friday, Dec. 16 at noon local time.
When is SZA going on tour?
SZA is scheduled to perform in 17 cities across the United States and Canada, beginning in February and ending at the end of March. The first show takes place on Feb. 21 in Columbus, OH, and the tour concludes on March 22 in Los Angeles. In between, she will perform in cities such as Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York, Portland, and Portland, as well as multiple shows in California and Texas.
A full list of her tour stops as well as venues can be found on SZA’s official Instagram page.
Who is opening for SZA’s tour?
Along with the announcement of her tour dates, SZA announced on Instagram that the opening act for her tour would be none other than Omar Apollo. Omar Apollo, who just finished his own The Prototype Tour in November, will assist SZA throughout the tour’s run. Omar Apollo is well-known for his alternative R&B sound, which includes hits like “Evergreen” and “Invincible,” featuring Daniel Caesar.
