Taylor Swift is the gift that keeps on giving. After fans solved a whopping 33 million interactive word puzzles that hinted at the names of the 1989 (Taylor’s Version) vault tracks, the singer finally announced the full tracklist of her album, and Swifties can’t keep their cool.Â
ICYMI, on Aug. 10, Swift announced the re-record of her 1989 album (named 1989 (Taylor’s Version)), which will be released on Oct. 27, 2023. In addition to announcing this album, the singer also revealed that 1989 (Taylor’s Version) will include “5 From The Vault tracks” (along with the tracks from the original album fans know and love) that were written at the time of the original release but didn’t make the final cut. On Sept. 19, the “Karma” singer collaborated with Google to release word puzzles that hinted at the titles of these tracks and fans didn’t waste time trying to figure out the riddles. Of course, Swifties cracked the codes and on Sept. 20, Swift announced the titles of four 1989 (Taylor’s Version) vault tracks. The titles are “Is It Over Now?,” “Now That We Don’t Talk,” “Say Don’t Go,” “Slut!,” and “Suburban Legends.” I’m already obsessed!
Naturally, Swifties lost it after seeing this exciting announcement and immediately flooded X (formerly known as Twitter) with their reactions — and of course, most are screaming.
Since nothing gets past Swifties, when only four vault tracks were announced, they quickly realized that one missing from the list. Naturally, fans started theorizing what the song is going to be called, with most convinced the track title is either going to be “SLUT!” or “LUST!”
Turns out, fans guessed right because, on Sept. 20, Swift dropped the full soundtrack of her 1989 (Taylor’s Version) album.
Swift sure knows how to keep her fans on their toes.
Now that we have the full tracklist of 1989 (Taylor’s Version), Oct. 27 can’t come quick enough. Though we don’t know how these vault songs are going to sound until the album’s release date, these tracks are likely going to be bangers that every Swift fan will have on repeat for the rest of the year.
But who knows, maybe Swift will give fans a little snippet of the vault songs in the coming weeks. As Swifties know all too well, the singer always has a surprise or two up her sleeve.
