Taylor Swift has transformed from country sweetheart to pop princess over the past few years, but that didn’t stop her from snagging an award for Song of the Year at Wednesday night’s 51st Country Music Association Awards. The singer won her first CMA since 2013 for writing Little Big Town’s “Better Man,” Us Weekly reports, and the win came as a total shock. Taylor posted a video of herself watching the award show from Saturday Night Live rehearsals, showing how absolutely awestruck she was when her song was announced the winner.

Nominated for the same category were Miranda Lambert’s “Tin Man,” Jon Pardi’s “Dirt on My Boots,” Sam Hunt’s summer jam “Body Like a Back Road,” and Keith Urban’s “Blue Ain’t Your Color.” With such an impressive lineup of hit songs, it’s no wonder Taylor fell speechless over the win.Â
Although she couldn’t accept the award in person, Little Big Town gave the songwriter a sweet shout-out. “Taylor, wherever you are, thank you for this beautiful song and for loving songs and loving Nashville,” Karen Fairchild said.Â
A CMA on Wednesday and a new album dropping Friday? It’s a big week for Taylor and her Swifties.Â
