Taylor Swiftâs one of the greatest artists of our generation, partly due to her ongoing project of re-recording her catalogue so she can reclaim her masters. TIME noted this along with many of the starâs accomplishments over the years in her Dec. 6 cover story, as the magazine honored her with the 2023 Person Of The Year title. In Swiftâs extensive interview along with an art piece commissioned for TIME to celebrate the honor, many Swifties spotted hints surrounding the singerâs the next re-recorded album.Â
So far, Swift has put out updated versions (marked as Taylorâs Version) of Fearless, Red, Speak Now, and 1989, with only Reputation and her debut self-titled album left. Itâs been widely theorized that Reputation (Taylorâs Version) will be the next project, and fans are predicting this will be announced in either Dec. 2023 or Feb. 2024. The easter eggs that many have spotted in the TIME interview and the art piece seem to confirm the Dec. 2023 announcement theory but as Iâve come to learn over the years, nothing is ever set in stone until Swift herself confirms.Â
CLUES IN THE PORTRAIT
In this collage, many symbols representing Swift and her legendary career are seen in the background.
These include friendship bracelets with various track titles, lyrics, cats, butterflies, hearts, and her lucky number âthirteenâ spelled out with Scrabble letters. Eagle-eyed fans noticed individual friendship bracelet beads spell âProve it.â Though Swiftâs often said this while performing âCruel Summerâ live, inviting fans to scream along to the bridge, some fans think this phrase might also be a vault track title.Â
Furthermore, thereâs a clock in the bottom right corner and the time on it is 12:07. Could this hint at a Dec. 7 announcement?Â
SWIFTâS SOCIAL MEDIA
When Swift posted the TIME photoshoot to her Instagram, she unpinned the 1989 (Taylorâs Version) post, leading fans to think that a Reputation (Taylorâs Version) post would replace it.Â
Plus, one of her posts about the TIME interview has a caption that parallels the one for her Reputation Stadium Tour documentary post.Â
Last but not least, thereâs some suspicious capitalization in this Instagram caption. I have no idea why the four Sâs are uppercase, but could the R stand for âReputationâ?Â
THE REPUTATION VAULT TRACKS
This oneâs probably the most obvious hint of all. Swift directly spoke about the Reputation vault tracks in her TIME interview, describing them as âfire.âÂ
I might be a little delulu, but Iâm also impatient and thereâs just too much evidence for a Dec. 7 theory at this point. Iâm ready to shed my snake skin whenever Swift is!Â
