Ever since Taylor announced her 10th studio album at the 2022 VMAs in August, Swifties all over the world spent weeks anticipating its release. Even though the album, Midnights, has been out for almost three weeks, Swift has continued to surprise fans with exciting announcements. Last week, she announced that she would be going on an Eras tour, and yesterday, on Nov. 7,esterday, she shared a remix of her song Anti-Hero featuring none other than Bleachers — or, as he’s most commonly known in the Swiftie universe, Jack Antonoff.
Swift and Antonoff have been collaborating partners ever since 2013 when he wrote and produced “Sweeter than Fiction,” which Taylor sang for the movie, One Chance. Since then, Antonoff has helped work on several of Swift’s albums, starting with 1989 up through Midnights. Despite the two’s long history, this is the first time both their vocals have been on a track together.
While Antonoff only gets one line to himself in the remix, it certainly shows what may keep him up at night. In the second verse, he sings, “Sometimes, I feel like everybody is an art bro lately / And I just judge them on the hill / Too hurt to hang out, talking shit about your famous baby / Pierced through the heart of ‘90s guilt / Maybe I’m the problem, it’s me.” And honestly? Fans had mixed thoughts and feelings about Antonoff’s addition to the song.
