Swifties Think Taylor Swift Has Surprises Planned For ‘TTPD,’ Including The Return Of Secret Sessions

I can’t be the only one who’s living in constant fear and admiration of Taylor Swift at the same time. The superstar not only made history with her fourth Album Of The Year win at the 2024 Grammys on Feb. 4, but she also shocked fans worldwide when she announced her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, instead of the re-recorded version of Reputation that many were suspecting.

As if that wasn’t enough to process, Swift posted the album’s tracklist on Feb. 5 and announced that her blockbuster Eras Tour film will be released on Disney+ beginning Mar. 15. Still, she’s teasing that she has more up her sleeve.

On Jan. 23, Taylor Nation cryptically shared that Swift is hiding “secretsss” in her hair, and they kept referencing this post when replying to fans after the announcement of The Tortured Poets Department. With another ominous caption on Feb. 8, during the Tokyo stop of the Eras Tour, they further suggested that Swift has something else coming.

Many Swifties seem to agree that each “s” at the end of “secretsss” refers to a different surprise, but they’re coming up with countless theories of what those surprises could entail.

Some think that Swift could bring back Secret Sessions for the release of The Tortured Poets Department. If you’re unfamiliar with Secret Sessions, allow me to explain.

For 1989, Reputation, and Lover, Swift invited hand-selected groups of fans to listen to the albums before their respective releases at a secret location. The tradition stopped in 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and concerns about music leaks. But with the upcoming release of TTPD, hopefully, Swift will find a way to hold a Secret Session this time around! And if a TTPD Secret Session is happening, what does a person have to do to get invited? Asking for a friend.

Last but not least, a few eagle-eyed fans noticed the name of Swift’s upcoming Disney+ special: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version). Could this mean that Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version) and Reputation (Taylor’s Version) are coming sooner than we think?

Whatever Swift has planned, I already know I’m not prepared for it — Blondie never fails to blow my mind.
