I wasn’t planning any vacations for 2024, but now that Royal Caribbean and Marvelous Mouse Travels have announced a Taylor Swift-themed cruise, I think it’s time I reach out to my travel agent. The cruise is a fan-sponsored event put together by three best friends — Jessica Malerman, Nicole Rivera, and Shelby Reyes — for fellow Swifties to enjoy and celebrate all things Taylor Swift.
Now this won’t just be a regular four-day cruise. While onboard Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas ship, Swifties will be able to attend a ton of different events and parties all tailored around Blondie herself. These activities include a welcome cocktail party, friendship bracelet-swapping, Taylor Swift-themed karaoke, a dance party, Taylor Swift trivia, and nightly Eras outfit themes! Unfortunately, Swift is not affiliated with the event, but it’s going to feel like she is just from the activities alone.
The cruise will set sail on Oct. 21, 2024 from the Port of Miami and travel for four nights, making stops on Royal Caribbean’s private island, Coco Cay, and in Nassau, Bahamas.
For those who didn’t get a chance to attend the Eras Tour, this cruise sounds like the perfect alternative to the live concert — just without Swift.
But partying Swiftie style comes with a price. As of publication, you have to join a waitlist on the cruise’s website to book a room, and fair warning, they aren’t cheap. Not only do you have to make a $100 per person deposit, but an interior room — the cheapest option — is going for $1,573. Meanwhile, a Boardwalk Balcony room costs $1,993, and an Oceanview Balcony will run you $2,109.
I know traveling isn’t cheap, but these rooms are a lot more expensive than I thought. But considering Swift’s concert tickets can run upwards of $1,000 each, the price you’re paying for this cruise might not be that bad, especially if you can convince your bestie to split some costs with you.
Also, this cruise is all-inclusive, which means the money you pay will not only cover your room, but food, access to world-class entertainment, and nightly events.
I can’t think of a better way to celebrate all things Taylor Swift than by setting sail on a Bahamian cruise with fellow Swifties. Time to get into our cruise era!
