When 2024 started, I told myself that I was going to spend less time scrolling through X/Twitter, but after Taylor Swift and NFL tight end Travis Kelce‘s sweet moment following the Kansas City Chiefs game on Jan. 28, I’ve spent hours looking at nothing but footage of them on the field together.
ICYMI, after the Chiefs won the AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens, Swift joined Kelce on the field, where they shared some sweet words to each other. I’m no expert lip reader, but from the footage I’ve seen, it seems the couple even said “I love you” to each other and NGL, the entire moment was giving scene out of a rom-com movie.
But let’s start from the beginning. As soon as Swift made it onto the field from the stands, Kelce found her in the crowd and the two shared a kiss. They then had a sweet conversation which was captured from many different angles. First, Kelce told Swift “How about that?” before hugging and kissing her in front of EVERYONE. Another video showed Kelce saying “What’s up sweetie” to Swift after chatting with his dad, Ed Kelce. Travis and Taylor then came back together before the singer said, “I’ve never seen anything like that in my life.”
Although all of that was great, the footage most can’t stop talking about is of Travis saying “I love you” to Swift and her quickly saying it back!
The NFL shared footage of the couple’s sweet convo on social media but didn’t include the audio. How rude. But thanks to fans, Taylor and Travis’ post-Chiefs game conversation was shared online and TBH, I’m loving this new content!
As expected, fans have been flooding X/ Twitter with their reactions to Swift and Kelce’s ~moment~ and to say most are fangirling over this would be an understatement.
If there was anyone who wasn’t convinced that Swift and Kelce were a couple, this latest footage of them proves that they are. There’s no question that these two are head over heels for each other and TBH, I’m so excited to potentially see them together in Las Vegas for the 2024 Super Bowl on Feb. 11.
If the Chiefs win, there’s a good chance we could see another moment like this on the field but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We’ll just have to wait and see who wins, but the Chiefs do, best believe I’ll be keeping a lookout for more Swift and Kelce content!
