It’s safe to say Ellen Pompeo’s Twitter is tragically underrated. The Grey’s Anatomy star is hilarious, and she proved it yet again this weekend in a battle with Fox News commentator Laura Ingraham.
To catch you up to speed, the whole thing began when Ingraham criticized LeBron James for comments he made on an Uninterrupted special with Kevin Durant. Throughout the show, James discussed his family, President Donald Trump, being black in America, and other social issues.
Ingraham felt the need to speak out about James’ commentary, and said a variety of offensive things when doing so:
“Must they run their mouths like that?”
“This is what happens when you attempt to leave high school a year early to join the NBA.”
“…it’s always unwise to seek political advice from someone who gets paid a hundred million dollars a year to bounce a ball.”
Ingraham ended her hateful rant by telling James — and seemingly any other basketball player who wishes to speak their mind — to “shut up and dribble.”
Pompeo was not having it.
Someone tell this bitch to meet me outside… Im so not in the mood for playing nice or polite this week https://t.co/LUpm0k3ZvV

LOL. It (thankfully) doesn’t end there, though. Pompeo went further because of Ingraham’s comment about James’ education.
Oh so sorry was that rude? I only have a 12 th grade education..and my gloves are off ??? don’t come for @KingJames
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) February 16, 2018
Apparently, Ingraham’s fans took Pompeo’s request to meet her outside seriously. She responded to one Twitter user — who later deleted their tweet — providing a location. Oh, Ellen.
Yes meet me at the cornwr of Crenshaw and Slauson https://t.co/PXpz9gGuWz
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) February 18, 2018
The shenanigans carried over into Monday afternoon, but Pompeo was happy to continue beefing with Ingraham’s followers.
Ok tell them to come and scoop me I’m going to be at the 1 pm showing of Black Panther you want roll with me… ??? https://t.co/0UbgBHd5C1

If this is the first time you’re experiencing Pompeo’s tweets, you’ve definitely been missing out. Here are a few of her most savage posts:
1. When she prioritized her values over having fans
News flash… I don’t want trump supporters for fans Einstein https://t.co/cjJTlZKPpn
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) September 11, 2017
Pompeo expanded in another tweet:
you cannot support a racist and not be one yourself.. not sure why you even like me? I have a completely different set of values https://t.co/bUznnENxVX
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) September 11, 2017
Not every celebrity is bold enough to vocalize their views and opinions like Pompeo regularly does. It’s definitely respectable.
2. When she fired off on Woody Allen & called his films “bougie sh*t”
I haven’t gone through his personal journals and I knew that… shocked the people that work with this man #ambition is kind https://t.co/HHVQwnxiXF
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) January 6, 2018
No autocorrect …..Ambition is blind
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) January 6, 2018
Pompeo didn’t hold back when she began tweeting about Allen, who’s been accused of sexual assault by his daughter, Dylan Farrow, for years. It started when she quoted a tweet that said “A journalist went through Woody Allen’s personal journals and found he was obsessed with teenage girls.”
And while we’re on the subject & I’m fired up has this fool ever put one poc in any of his movies ever?
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) January 6, 2018
I wouldn’t know because I don’t watch that bougie shit
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) January 6, 2018
She also called out the lack of diversity in his films, which, in her opinion, are just a bunch of “bougie sh*t.”
3. Her response to someone criticizing Grey’s Anatomy
How is your show doing my love? https://t.co/Ew7rxmtKgW
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) September 11, 2017
Don’t come for Ellen.
4. When she shared her hobbies
Drink bubbletinis and drag haters https://t.co/gR11XDXGBJ
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) January 6, 2018
I really, really just want to be her best friend.
5. Her refusal to accept E!’s alleged treatment of Catt Sadler
Dear @e_entertainment your format celebrates critiques explores&exploits women in entertainment. It would be impactful if you stepped up https://t.co/bZbne9dwgj
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) December 21, 2017
Sadler reportedly left E! after finding out she was only making half of what her male co-host made. Pompeo was rightfully not happy with the situation.
6. When someone insulted her iconic tweets
No no no you got it wrong…I have the ass of a 20 year old ? https://t.co/USk41vJ3MV
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) June 19, 2017
Queen of self confidence.
7. Her response to an A&E docuseries about the KKK
So I guess A&E stands for …we will try to put Anything and Everything on tv… because we are a bunch of desperate pathetic tv execs ??
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) December 21, 2016
maybe @AETV you should just run episodes of @GreysABC instead… we are smarter more compassionate and oh yeah way better looking ✌???
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) December 21, 2016
TBH, who WOULDN’T watch Grey’s over, like, anything else?
8. When she reflected on a hilarious story she told in an interview
“@MariaaQ_: @EllenPompeo this is so funny, you just killed me ! pic.twitter.com/v8jMzwcLtG” there is such a thing as talking too much
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) August 13, 2013
OK, so the tweet isn’t exactly savage — but the story was. So it counts!
9. Finally, when she admitted what everyone already knew
Like a long time ago https://t.co/v8nBsCDMn8
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) October 26, 2017
When did she lose her chill? “Like a long time ago.” And I wouldn’t have it any other way. Never change, Ellen.
