Travis Kelce’s Old Tweets Have Resurfaced, But Not For The Reason You Think

Whether you’re scrolling through social media, or even tuning into an NFL football game, then I’m sure you haven’t been able to escape the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce whirlwind romance. For Swifties, Kelce is more than just Swift’s new boyfriend — he’s their endgame. And with the resurfacing of Travis Kelce’s old tweets, Swifties are falling more and more in love with him.

Now, when I saw that Kelce’s old tweets were trending on X/Twitter, I was immediately on edge. Usually, when celebrities’ old posts resurface, they usually contain some controversial material. So, you can imagine how relieved, and pleasantly surprised, I was when Kelce’s tweets were nothing bad at all. In fact, they had me giggling and kicking my feet — the Kenergy is real with this one, y’all.

Most of the posts that resurfaced were from the years 2010 and 2011, when Kelce was in college at the University of Cincinatti. The posts themselves are harmless, but grammatically incorrect, anecdotes from his life in college — grabbing Chipotle, heading to class, and… feeding squirrels? Feeding them… whole pieces of bread?

Perhaps the only crime committed on Kelce’s X/Twitter is are laughably bad spelling errors and grammatical mistakes (also the constant use of “Haha”) — but I honestly don’t mind them at all. It’s giving himbo. It’s giving “I’m Ken-ough.” And I’m living for it.

One of the most hilarious things, though, is the fact that Taylor Swift was taking the world by storm while Travis Kelce was writing tweets from his college dorm. In 2010, Swift released Speak Now, and was touring the album from February 2011 to March 2012.

While fans are just now poking fun at Kelce’s spelling and grammar mistakes, Kelce’s errors have actually been a meme in the New Heights fandom for quite some time. In fact, in February 2023, the New Heights TikTok shared a clip that showcased Kelce’s spelling ability (or lack thereof). Additionally, they captioned the video “It’s a good thing there’s no spelling in football, right” and tagged Kelce. TBH, I’m weak at this.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t get enough of these tweets. Travis Kelce, if you’re reading this, please never delete them! Never change!

Especially this one. This might be my favorite post of all time.

We’ve all felt like this before in class, right?

Kelce’s old posts also revealed that he went to therapy. And we love to see that.

And, yes, he did spell “Chipotle” wrong… but we can give him points for consistency… right?

Kelce has yet to comment on the resurfaced posts, but I’m positive he’ll have a good laugh about it on the next New Heights podcast episode. Maybe it’ll even be sponsored by Chipotle — or as Kelce writes it, “Chipolte.”
