A relationship should be 50/50. If Taylor Swift can show up at Travis Kelce’s football games, he can show up for her big career moments… right? The 2024 Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, Feb. 4, and Swift’s up for six awards, including Album of the Year for Midnights. If she wins, she’ll become the first artist to take home the award four times, breaking her tie with Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon. This could be a huge night for Swift. Will Travis Kelce be at the 2024 Grammys to support her?
Unfortunately for Swifties eager for the couple to make their red carpet debut together, Kelce’s got some big career moments of his own coming up that’ll interfere with him attending the Grammys. The Chiefs are officially heading to the 2024 Super Bowl on Feb. 11, which is exactly one week after the Grammys. If the Chiefs come out on top, it’ll be Kelce’s third Super Bowl win. He scored a touchdown in each of his previous two Super Bowls, and now that the whole world’s attention is on him, there’s even more pressure to repeat the feat.
On Jan. 31, Kelce confirmed on The Pat McAfee Show that he won’t be able to attend the Grammys due to the Chiefs traveling to Las Vegas the same day as the annual ceremony. “I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for,” Kelce said. “I know I’ve got practice Saturday, but Sunday’s a travel day. Unfortunately, I gotta get ready for this big old Super Bowl that we’ve got in a week.”
The Super Bowl isn’t the only thing on Kelce’s schedule. Parade reports that he’s expected to attend the 2024 Pro Bowl Games on Feb. 4, which is the same day as the Grammys. Though he might decide not to play in the game itself to be in good condition for the Super Bowl, his brother Jason Kelce is playing, so he’ll probably stick around to watch him on the field.
Even though he won’t be at the Grammys, Kelce has been super supportive of Swift’s career. After all, their romance started after he attended Swift’s concert at Arrowhead Stadium on July 8, 2023! He also flew to Buenos Aires in November 2023 to watch Swift perform. At the Nov. 11, 2023 show, Swift changed the lyrics in the “Karma” bridge to say, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.” Fans took videos of Kelce covering his face with his hands and dancing along to the shout-out.
Swift and Kelce’s red carpet appearance will have to wait, but Travlor stans will probably see the couple reunite at Super Bowl LVIII! Swift is playing the final Tokyo show of her Eras Tour the day before the game, but she’s expected to fly in on time to watch Kelce go for his third Super Bowl win.
