It isnāt news that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has been conducting an internal investigation on the Trump administration. However, President Donald Trump and his legal team responded to the DOJ-issued reports.
According to the Huffington Post, the DOJās inspector general submitted a 500-page report regarding the role of senior FBI officials during the presidential election. As CNN adds, the extensive investigates claims that two FBI employees wanted to prevent Trump from becoming president.
Following these allegations in the DOJ official report, Trump used his Twitter to respond. āFBI Agent Peter Strzok, who headed the Clinton & Russia investigations, texted to his lover Lisa Page, in the IG Report, that āweāll stopā candidate Trump from becoming President. Doesnāt get any lower than that,ā Trump tweeted early Friday morning.

But what exactly did Strzok text to Page? CNN reports that Page initially texted ā[Trumpās] not ever going to become president, right? Right,ā to Strzok. In response, Strzok wrote, āNo. No he wonāt. Weāll stop it.ā Yikes.
Huff Post notes that one of FBI Agent Strzokās text messages was highlighted in the DOJās report. The text message was between Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page; however, the DOJ inspector general claims that this particular text message was āindicative of a biased state of mind.ā
Though Page doesnāt work for the FBI, The Hill reports that, following an internal investigation, Mueller removed Strzok from his team of investors.Ā
While Trump is criticized certain FBI employees that were mentioned in the DOJās report, certain members of Trumpās legal team are criticizing Robert Muellerās ongoing investigation. Fox News notes that yesterday Trumpās personal lawyer Rudy Giulani requested that Special Counsel Robert Mueller should be removed from his role in the investigation on Russiaās involvement in Trumpās presidential campaign.
āTomorrow, Mueller should be suspended and honest people should be brought in, impartial people to investigate these people like Strzok,” Giuliani said. “…Strzok should be in jail by the end of next week.”
