Of course, the Grammys are chock-full of incredible red carpet outfits. E! interviewer Laverne Cox is wearing a stunning bright red structured dress. Billie Eilish and FINNEAS are rocking understated black outfits, Billie specifically wearing a Barbie jacket. Miley Cyrus is donning a netted gold look. However, the true winner of the red carpet is Victoria Monét and her daughter, Hazel, matching at the Grammys.
Arriving on the red carpet, Monét along with her boyfriend John Gaines, and daughter Hazel, are hoping to secure wins for the seven categories she’s nominated for. She is nominated in the major category of Best New Artist along the likes of Ice Spice, Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, and more. Excitingly, Monét has already won Best R&B Album for Jaguar II ahead of the main Grammys broadcast. Daughter Hazel is also nominated for a Grammy, the youngest person to have this honor, for best traditional R&B performance for the track “Hollywood.”
Gaines is definitely matching his family’s vibe by pairing a muted sage green suit and black loafers with their bronze dresses. And Monét’s daughter? She was matching with her momma in an adorable brown dress — my heart is melting!
Monét’s family isn’t the only ones supporting her at he 2024 Grammys. The artist is a friend of Ariana Grande’s and they have an adorable timeline. Grande wished her well on social media saying: “My friend, you deserve this one million times over @victoriamonet !!!! I am so deeply proud of and happy for you there are no words. You have worked so hard and given so much of yourself to this industry for so, so long while quietly being in your absolute own league,” she said in an Instagram story.
Grande added, “We’ve talked about this happening since the day we met and over many tour bus sleepovers. It is the greatest joy to see the goodness you have poured into other, into your collaborators (I am so incredibly lucky to be one of them) over the years pouring right back into you. Happy does not begin to cover it. This is your motherf**kin MOMENT!!!!!”
While I’m hoping for Monét to steal the show, it’s going to be pretty tough to top her adorable daughter on the carpet. This baby sure knows how to serve a look!
