Once in a blue moon, there comes a discovery that leaves the social media sphere completely shook. We wonder, scream, and tweet, “Where has this been all our lives!?!?” And that is exactly what happened with the latest iPhone space bar hack that is practically blowing up Twitter. Food blogger Krissy Brierre-Davis tweeted out over the weekend an easy solution to fix all of your typos with the iPhone’s space bar feature. It basically moves your cursor around, so you can fix any and all typos.Â
Krissy explains in the photo that, “if you click and hold the space bar, you can move the cursor instead of trying to drag the cursor itself with you fat thumb lol.” She also tweeted that she feels “duped” because she did not know this trick existed for so long. To be honest, I could not agree more!Â
How come you guys never told me this iPhone trick? I feel duped. pic.twitter.com/2RfRhI4Y1X

“I thought I was an idiot for never having discovered this gem myself. My mind was blown. Literally,” Brierre-Davis told BuzzFeed News. “I could never get the cursor to go where I wanted. I’ve even deleted a full sentence just to avoid having to go back and change a mistake in a word.” It’s definitely an experience every iPhone user has had. I can’t count the number of times where I’ve deleted content-gold for the sake of perfect grammar.Â
According to Elite Daily, it only works on the iPhone 6 or later iPhone devices. The 3D touch feature on the spacebar allows you to place your cursor in the exact spot you want within the text. Here’s a thorough breakdown of how it works—you open your texts and type literally anything, then you tap on your spacebar and press down with more pressure to start 3D touch, and finally you move your thumb around to the exact word or letter you need to remove. It’s as simple as that! It also works on the whole keyboard and all you have to do is press and hold any key, according to another Twitter user. If you press down a little harder, you can also highlight everything.Â
Brierre-Davis’ tweet received thousands of likes, responses, and retweets, and it looks like everyone on the internet was as equally blown away as I am.Â

Yes!! Most important 3D Touch feature when it came out; Works anywhere on the Apple keyboard (not just space)!! — Andrew Nebus (@AndrewNebus) November 18, 2018 It doesn’t have to be the space bar. Press and hold any Part of the keyboard and you can drag the cursor. And if you don’t have a haptic keyboard, like on an iPad that’s not the latest, use two fingers at once for the same effect. — RobOz (@roboso) November 19, 2018
