Emma Watson

Famous For: Harry Potter, Burberry Model
Watson told Vanity Fair that her first frat party was not what she expected. “I felt like I’d walked into an American teen movie. I picked up the red cups. I was like, Wow, they really do drink from these.” Watson’s classes freshmen year included European women’s history, Ovid’s Metamorphoses, and acting. As for her acting class, it didn’t go as expected. “I think actually I’m the worst person in the class,” she tells Vanity Fair.
James Franco
College: Yale University
Major: English Ph.D.
Famous For: Eat Pray Love, Milk, Pineapple Express, Spiderman
Before deciding to continue school at Yale, Franco reportedly got a D in his New York University acting class. According to Showbiz411, Franco says, “I did the work, I did well in everything else. But the acting teacher probably felt uncomfortable with a working well-known actor in his class. It was not the norm.” Showbiz411 also reported that he missed a lot of classes due to his upcoming film “127 Hours.” Franco also enrolled in Columbia University’s MFA writing program, where he was famously caught sleeping through a lecture, and Brooklyn College’s fiction writing program. He received his undergraduate degree from UCLA.
Haley Joel Osment
College: New York University
Major: Fine Arts and Middle Eastern Studies
Famous For: The Sixth Sense
According to The Huffington Post, Osment has taken a semester off to make his Broadway debut in ‘American Buffalo.’ “I don’t know if it’s going to count credit-wise for anything, but certainly the experience is in line with what I went there to study.”
Jerry O’Connell
College: Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles
Major: Law
Famous For: The Defenders, Obsessed
O’Connell tells People Magazine, “I had always planned on continuing my education at some point…I figured I would take a couple of classes at night.” He joked that if he didn’t go to law school he would be up all night playing video games. Leslie Steinberg, the school’s Assistant Dean of Public Affairs tells Us Weekly, “He is very excited to be starting his law school education here at Southwestern…he just had orientation last week. He was very impressed with the faculty and the vibe here.”
Wyclef Jean
College: Berklee College of Music in Boston
Degree: Music, including ear training, theory, improvisation, guitar
Famous For: Grammy award-winning musician
Jean tells Berklee, “I left college after only the first semester to pursue my career and, after all that I’ve accomplished, going back to college was the one thing I wanted to do for myself… Berklee was always where I wanted to attend. I would like to thank Berklee’s president President Roger Brown and chief of staff Carl Beatty and the entire faculty for making me feel welcome,” he said. “I think it is important for young people to aspire to get an education.”
Lily Cole
College: Cambridge University in London
Major: Social and Political Science
Famous For: Fashion model for Vogue, Prada, Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Lacroix,
Cole told the Telegraph, “I found last year really weird…it was hard to settle in. I was a bit shell-shocked, but I think everyone finds that. This year is much nicer, and the courses are a lot harder.” She also tells theTelegraph, “I like doing things I haven’t learnt about yet. I’ve always been interested in art, and I love doing art…”
