It’s been a year and a half since the whole Ned Fulmer cheating scandal, and I still can’t stop thinking about it. It’s been almost two years since the former internet star was on social media, so what is Ned Fulmer doing now in 2024? Let’s talk about it.Â
If you’ve been living under a rock, Ned Fulmer was a member of the internet group, the Try Guys. Up until the scandal, the Try Guys were made up of four people: Zach Kornfeld, Eugene Lee Yang, Keith Habersberger, and Fulmer. The Try Guys are known for trying a range of activities that go from shaving their legs to wearing women’s underwear. What once started as a side project at BuzzFeed flourished into the Try Guys brand, or 2nd Try LLC, since they left the company in 2018.Â
Wait, what did Ned Fulmer do?
But on Sept. 27, 2022, the Try Guys fanbase shuddered as news arose of Fulmer cheating on his wife, Ariel Fulmer, with employee Alexandria Herring. Since then, he completely left the company and the group. (Like, he’s even been edited out of pre-recorded videos.) Fulmer was known for talking about how much he idolized and admired his wife and children. In fact, nearly 80% of the Try Guys audience is made up of women who were drawn to the channel because of how authentic the guys, including Ned, were. Even though cheating in a corporate environment is not a new topic, he should be put in his place for his infidelity. Sorry, Fulmer, we’re sticking with Ariel on this one.Â
It’s still relatively unclear as to why he cheated on his wife, or even why he was so careless about it. No matter what the questions may be, they still remain unanswered. Ned and Ariel seem to be working out their problems privately, out of the public eye, and the updates have been lacking.Â
What’s Ned Fulmer doing now?
After his firing, Fulmer went completely underground. His social media accounts have been inactive since 2022 and he still has all the pictures with his wife up on his Instagram. It doesn’t even seem like he’s still friends with the Try Guys. He even appeared to be absent from Zach Kornfeld’s February 2023 wedding. As time has passed, the fans are growing more and more curious about the current status of Ned Fulmer.Â
However, according to Fulmer’s LinkedIn, he is in the midst of creating and maintaining Fulmer Media, Inc., creating intellectual property (IP) for studios, and investing in major brands. There isn’t much information on this new company but it does seem like it is relatively active and that he is working on some sort of comeback.Â
Additionally, eagle-eyed fans were able to spot that Fulmer changed his profile photos on his various social media accounts, as well as updating his IG bio to read “Producer | Writer | Host #1 NYT Bestseller | formerly @tryguys @buzzfeed.” Looks like a rebrand attempt to me.
So, maybe Fulmer’s ready to return to social media, but behind the camera this time. I mean before the Try Guys, he graduated from Yale University and participated in chemistry research. Maybe, he could put that degree and background to use if the whole media thing doesn’t work out.
