As a self-proclaimed music lover, nothing gets me more excited than the personalized playlist I get from Spotify around this time of year. I love being able to see all the songs and artists I discovered and how their music has influenced my interests. That’s right — I’m talking about Spotify Wrapped! Specifically, the 2023 Spotify Wrapped with all its cool new features. If you’ve had issues in the past with seeing yours and have had to ask, “Why can’t I see my Spotify Wrapped?”, this year’s version should make it much easier to locate.
Since 2016, Spotify has been distributing personalized and shareable Wrapped info annually that showcase listeners’ music tastes and more. Spotify Wrapped includes a collection of slides that share the top songs, albums, artists, and podcasts listeners’ streamed. It also shows how many minutes you spent listening to music, your Sound Town (a new feature that matches you to a city based on the songs and artists you listened to), and your Me in 2023 (one of 12 types based on your listening habits). If you’ve never checked out yours before, I promise you it’s worth a look. You can also share parts of your slides on social media for your friends to see.
However, there are some requirements that must be met in order to see your Spotify Wrapped, so if you’re wondering why yours won’t show up, it may be because you’re not eligible. Firstly, you must have used the app at some point this year, up to a few weeks before the Wrapped is scheduled to be released. Next, you should have listened to up to 30 seconds of 30 or more songs. Lastly, you must have listened to music from at least five different artists. If you did all of these things, then your Wrapped should be on full display whether you’re a free or Premium account user.
Now that this year’s Spotify Wrapped has been released, a banner with the words “Your 2023 Wrapped” should show up on the homepage of the app on mobile and desktop. If you don’t see this banner on the app, try checking the Spotify Wrapped website. In the past, Spotify Wrapped was only visible on the app, but this year, they are visible on WebView as well.
If you’ve checked both the app and web link and you still don’t see your Wrapped, try checking to see if the app needs to be updated to the latest version. If not, search the words “2023 Spotify Wrapped” in the search bar. That should do the trick! Now you can see all the ways your music taste has evolved since last year, and all the artists who helped make that happen.
