Are you a technology expert who dreams of working for a leading technology company? Well now’s your chance to make this dream become a reality.
Lenovo and Intel are looking for three driven college undergraduates to go on the ultimate TechTrip, a two week trip in which the winners will get to visit four technology companies across the U.S. (including one in Raleigh, N.C., which is my awesome hometown).
This rare opportunity will allow winners to see the inner workings of the best technology companies, network with executives, gain experience and take home great products.
The winners will work together to complete challenging assignments given to them by each company. The schedule can at times be exhausting, but the access, contacts and experience are too good to pass up. As an added bonus, you will get to keep the great technology products you use to accomplish these tasks.
Even more exciting, college students from across the country will be following your journey through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn.
Okay, I know you are asking yourself, “How do I enter?”
Go to Lenovo’s Student Facebook Page and fill out the provided form between June 20 and July 15. Tell Lenovo why you’re the driven candidate it’s looking for, but make sure to be succinct (you do only have 250 words, after all). At the same time, be clever and creative because people will be voting for the finalists, and don’t forget to attach a professional photo to your entry.
After you’ve submitted your entry form, tell your family and friends to vote for you! The 20 candidates with the most votes will then be narrowed down to the three winners by a panel of judges.
Voting to determine the 20 finalists will take place from July 16 to July 24, and the winners will be announced on July 27. If you’re a winner, you’ll need to pack your bags quickly because the trip starts on July 31 and ends on Aug. 12. The full schedule is below:
Week One
- Two days visiting Lenovo in Raleigh, N.C.: Aug. 1 – 2
- Two days visiting Intel in Santa Clara, C.A.: Aug. 4 – 5
- Weekend in San Francisco, C.A.: Aug. 6 – 7
Week Two
- Two days visiting Dolby Laboratories in San Francisco, C.A.: Aug. 8 – 9
- Two days visiting Namco Bandai Games in Santa Clara, C.A.: Aug. 11 – 12
