You Probably Won’t Recognize Taylor Swift on Her First Magazine Cover Since Releasing ‘Reputation’

In case you needed further proof that the old Taylor is dead, look no further than her first major magazine cover since she released Reputation last month.

On Monday, both T-Swift and British Vogue took to Instagram to reveal that the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer is covering the January 2018 issue of the magazine.

“Thank you @edward_enninful and @mertalas for your passion, spirit, and contagious laughter on set. Mert and Marcus took these photos for @britishvogue and my album photos for reputation, and it’s been such a bonding experience working together so closely and talking so much about what we wanted to make. It’s been a while since I’ve done a magazine cover. I’m really happy my first one back was with such wonderful people. #newvogue,” Swift captioned her photo of the cover, referencing British Vogue‘s new editor-in-chief Edward Enniful, who debuted his first cover for the magazine last month.

From the looks of the cover and the first few images from the December issue, it’s safe to say the #NewTaylor is also here to stay. She rocks a dark smokey eye and vampy lip, which has become her new signature (and is a far cry from her Red and 1989 days) along with edgy wet-look waves and a sculptural Saint Laurent dress.

With a new magazine cover, multiple performances and a massive upcoming tour under her belt, does this officially mean Swift is officially out of hiding for good? Her first major interview in years, which is part of her 12-page (!) cover story will probably offer some clues when it’s released this Friday.
