This year, NBC Olympics will present more coverage of the Paralympic Winter Games than ever before—nearly doubling the coverage of the 2014 Paralympic Games. We don’t want you to miss out on the action, so here is your official guide to watching the 2018 PyeongChang Paralympic Games.
What are the Paralympic Games?
The Paralympic Games occurs immediately after the Olympic Games. Like the Olympic Games, the Paralympic Games is an international, multi-sport event that allows the top athletes in the world to compete. The athletes in the Paralympic Games have a range of disabilities, from muscle dystrophy to vision impairment.
What sports are played in the Winter Paralympics?
There are 80 medal events across six sports: alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, ice hockey, snowboard, and wheelchair curling. Each sport is then divided into categories based on the athletes who compete in them. For example, alpine skiing has a sitting event, a standing event, and a visually impaired event.

How do I watch?
You can watch the Paralympics the same way you watch the Olympics. In the US, you can watch it on NBC Olympics on TV. Everything that is on TV will also be available for streaming on the NBC Olympics website, OlympicChannel.com and the Olympic Channel app.
Additional coverage will be provided on NBCsports.com and the NBC Sports app (available for Android, iOS, Roku, Windows, Chromecast, Xbox, Samsung, or Amazon Fire TV). In the UK, if you have a TV license, the BBC iPlayer should be your go-to for the Winter Olympics. You may have to register for free.
